I think it'd be really hard to have/host/attend a family dinner near surgery. Heck I typically host thanksgiving and I am taking this year off and that is about 7 months out from surgery.

I wonder if I will ever be strong enough to not weigh every day. I only record it on fridays but every morning after I pee there I stand in all my nekkid glory on the scale hoping it's lower than the day before lol!!

I thought I was the only one like that every morning.....:crying:

OK, who needs Ticker/Banner help, because SOMEBODY (Thin, is it you? ;-)) forgot to put a return (Enter) between their tickers and I'm WAY too lazy to scroll side to side and I can't see everything you're writing....LOL.

oh i didnt forget i purposely omitted it. figured 4tickers was a bit much but dont want to get rid of any of them lol so i stacked them side to side to make better use of the room. I can see them at once but my laptop is a widescreen, I didnt think about that when I did it. Guess I'll whittle my tickers down...hmmm....which to lose....

Lest you delete a Bunny (blasphomy! we'd have to take back your bunny ears!) or *gasp* My Man Mickey...I can put forth the effort to scroll over:lol:...after all, you'll be getting rid of that 'Band Birthday' one soon enough YAY!...problem solved LOL!!!

Hello! I would like to be added to the list. I have an appointment April 1 to schedule a surgery date, take the ulcer test and when to start the preop diet otherwise everything is done. They said I should be a Bunny Bandster! Good luck to everyone on their liquids now. - Val

Thanks band -Groupie and Sissy add me for April 9th.

here is a finish for your poem.

Bunnie looked and looked until she found a home,

Then she found the perfect spot, On the beach in the sand

And right along with her came her lap band

While she in the sun looking all lean and tan

What did she drink nothing other than one Slimfast in a can

Bunnie felt eyes upon her

when she looked she saw a Man

With a twinkle in his eye and wink

then he ran

he yelled back You look fabulous!

Bunnie said I knew I would

the moment I said Yes, Yes, Yes I can!

Enjoy, Murphy

WELCOME!!! It does seem to take FOREVER (still waiting here).

Hey April 27??!!! I don't know...that's a pretty gloomy day...are you sure...we may have an eclipse or something equally as scary that day....well, I guess after all that waiting...if you must...

...that's my *gulp* 50th birthday:lol: (I'm still getting used to the idea).

Okay I just got off the phone w/the scheduler. I have an appt on 4/7 to do my preop physical and preop diet and answer all my questions (i have a list that is ever growing anybody got any suggestions?) and then another appt to meet w/the surgical team on 4/13. She mentioned the lapband.com site that will have info and support for me post bandign and she will give me that information after she gets it. Has anybody else used that site? I will be staying in the hospital for 36 hours after surgery to be sure everything goes smoothly (not looking forward to that at all). I also WILL have a preop diet that will start roughly 2wks prior to banding.

On surgery day I have to be at the hospital at 6am @@ that SUCKS but at least i'll be done early right?

okay NOW i'm starting to get a little nervous.....it suddenly seems so much more real!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
