Help, It has been a week and a half since I had my first fill. I have a 10cc band which had 3cc's in it at surgery time, then a total of 5cc's after first fill. I have less ristriction now it seems then before the fill. Is this normal, I haven't gained any weight, but have stopped losing. How long should I wait to see if this fill is working or should I schedule another fill?

Any info would be great...

Pre-op diet started 12/25/08 weight 304

Surgery Jan 8, 2009 weight 287

First fill total 5cc 02/20/09 weight 269

Today March 4,2009 weight 268

I am told to wait a week.If you are eating too much, not staying full between meals and not losing then I would schedule another visit with your surgeon.

Did you do the 2 day liquid and 2 day mushy after fill? This usually set the band again. Sorta like starting from the beginning again. You may want to start tracking your daily consumption, (everything you eat). What about your exercising? What about drinking plenty of SF & Decaf, liquids 80 oz day. Are you waiting min 30 minutes after your meal before drinking? All of these are questions yourdr will ask you when you stop losing wt. Also remember that your body has to readjust as you lose wt. For me it was about every 15-20 lbs I would go about 1 week and not lose anything, I would keep up the daily exercising and finally the scal ewould move and then continue. Good luck! I have 9.0 cc in a 10cc band, 14 months out. Eat very little1/2 to 1 cup it last a good while before I get hungry again. Tight till after lunch. So I am good right here , right now. It will probably last for a while. hoo ray!!

Thanks for the info. I exercise for 30 min. every day at least. I don't drink a half hour before eating or usually an hour after eating. I did not do two days of liquids and mushies after my fill, the Dr. told me just to do liquids the first day then back to normal food the next day.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
