p.s. what does onederland stand for?

That means you are finally below 200 pounds and in the 199 or less category, thus onederland . I cant wait to get there myself.

Hey people! It's getting close to April and I don't have approval or a date yet, but I'm still holding onto hope that I can get banded in April!!! I have one more visit to complete my 6 month diet, and then it's pre-op stuff from there on out. I just want it done NOW!

p.s. what does onederland stand for?

I believe it stands for one under 200 mark meaning back at 1++ in weight. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Well I went yesterday for what was supposed to be my pre-op appointment, but they messed up b/c you have to see the Dr within 30 days of your surgery and I was too soon...OH well. And now this morning I missed my apt with the pulmonologist. I set my alarm but never turned it on...so I am rescheduled for 315 this afternoon ( i like that better than 745 am anyway :crying:). I did find out at my session with the nutritionist yesterday what my pre-op diet will be. It looks like I am one of the lucky ones and do not have to do an all liquid diet. My diet is a very low calorie (800-1000) high Protein diet for 2 weeks. So I can have like 2 lean cuisines, a serving of veggies and 2 shakes a day. I am sure I will be hungry, but I will just have to push thru it. Exactly 5 weeks from today is surgery day  I am getting excited.

Hey Jen, it sounds like we will have the same date: April 16th! I just got word from insurance on March 10 that I was approved and I am so happy to now have a date. I go for pre-op visit on 3-31-09. Does anyone know what is involved at that visit? Do they just tell you what you can eat the weeks before surgery? Anyway, I'm now an April Bandster! Soo happy!

we should give ourselves a name maybe shamrockers!! any other suggestions?

I like that name the shamrockers. Is there anyway we can group together to email, chat, etc. without doing it on an individual basis. Or should we just continue to come back to this thread?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
