:w00t:

We are now socialist, one step away from communism, the red menace.

I wish Mr. Bush could have run again, he would have wiped the floor with that Osama.

Look at this economy, it was never this bad under Mr. Bush

Spend, Spend, Spend, Who's got the money? Aww, it's alright we'll make more

The only thing I'm sorry about is that I voted for that worthless POS Bush the first time:cursing::w00t: and was even suckered into believing his lies that got us into the sinkhole of a war in Iraq. Bush has been the single worst president and may have set our country and possibly the world into a downward spiral the likes of which we may not recover from for a generation or more. His economic and foreign policy were catastrophic and his blatant disregard for science have cost countless lives to be lost.

Obama is politician, so we know he is not perfect and he will certainly make mistakes along the way. I am extremely impressed with what has accomplished so far and am looking forward to his other ideas.

Nope, you're completely wrong, thanks for playing.

And here I was thinking today at the gym that Obama is doing a much better job than I expected. Not that I expected him to do a bad job, but he's been really blowing me away.

Dan,

You seem to be a funny guy - and maybe you are just trying to be cute here. If you are, great - haha good one. If you're not, well I'm pretty sure you are so far off base you probably can't be helped anyway. Don't presume to know what I do and do not know about politics or economics. You don't know me and you never will. I have been around long enough and have been engaged enough to know the situation, and I certainly know that even 1 more day of Bush or his failed ideas would have caused even more harm to this country. You had your chance in the last 8 years, look what we got for it...

I might know you, we could become best of friends. Roughly same age, same height, same weight, both on west coast. Maybe we could be lap band buddies:w00t:

It could happen, friends don't have to agree politically. But then again, you may consider me snobbish since I have already been banded.

Well, I didn't vote for Obama......but now that he's the pres, I'll cut him some slack....I'm not jazzed about what looks to be the nationalizing of some of the bigger banks, but we'll see how it plays out.

"Oops!" he said "I've gotta go, would you look at the time" as he realized that a friendship could never be; at least until after 13 March. As Dan rode off into the sunset he knew there were some lines that a man just can't cross.:w00t:

I have I told you lately how much you rock? I haven't? YOU ROCK!

On to the subject. This is not what I signed up for. I do not think we should have ever bailed out anyone, honestly. Bush started it, Obama is keeping it going. I don't like it, but I don't have a better idea and I understand that he is trying to keep our country out of a even larger economic crisis.

I'm gonna sit back and let it happen. Me worrying about it isn't going to change things, I am focusing on social issues.

Ummm it's like 30 days in. Not that I voted for the guy but I will know whether my decision was correct or not in a little less than 4 years when I get to decide again.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
