Who else is getting their band on FEBRUARY 18?

I would love to have some banding buddies to compare with and give/receive support. I don't have a great support here and will be very happy for some new friends online.

Hi! I'm a February 18th LapBander also! I'm on pre-op liquid protein now - having a hard time! I'm really hungry, shaky and irritable! BUT I'm really glad to have some new friends!

My surgery is scheduled for the 20th. So I'll be a few days behind you.

What kind of "preop" are you doing? My doctor doesn't have me doing anything special except the week before surgery I was told I shouldn't have any greasy/fried and that I should eat light that week.

I always find it amazing that every doctor does things a little differently.

How much weight do you have to lose?

I don't have to lose a certain amount of weight, but the diet is 2-3 protein shakes a day, plus 3 oz chicken/fish and 2 cups veggies for 2 weeks before surgery. I'm really struggling with it.

My diet is the high protein- low carb, which pretty much consist of a couple of Protein shakes, meat, and vegetables from the 6th to the 13th and from there just all liquid until the 17th

Feb 9th will be the beginning of a new life, Started journey 1/1/2008 470lbs now 369lbs, been on liquid since 2/2/09 I'm still really nervous about surgery Mon but I have come to far.I have seen cardio , pulm, gastro and urologist all say green light, Have also been walking 2 miles a day since 5/2008 to minimize risks. Still scared about anesthia and trip to O R

Hi everyone... my date is February 20th. Started the liver-shrinking diet today and i'm hungry.

I have two shakes a day, 1 small piece of fruit, unlimitted (non-starch) veggies, and 4 oz. lean meat for dinner... I am hoping it will get easier, but boy today was harder than I thought. Oh well - 2 weeks and it is a new life!

Good luck to everyone!
