  3. Hi Everyone, Just checking in to let you know that i had my first fill and there was no pain. The doctor didn't even numb me. I would whether do this than get a regular shot because I hate getting a shot. I had also lost another 9 lbs which makes a total of 25 lbs lost. Thanks for all the support that I am getting from here and lets all continue to keep going forward. More update soon..
  4. I appreciate that, and congratulation on all your progress.
  5. Hi Everyone, I was banded on 2/17/09, had first doctor's visit today and so far have lost 10 lbs. I will have my first fill 3/30/09 the day after my birthday. Well I don't know just how good this is but I guess they say you don't want to lose it too fast and I guess in this situation a loss is better than a gain, so I'm satisfied with it. Okay and just to let everyone know I am happy about the fill but I am terrorified of needles. So is there anyone with some comforting advice on this. It will be greatly appreciated. Will update again soon, thank again for everyone support
  6. I was banded on 17 Feb 09, - no doubt I am hungry as hell right now and I am looking forward to the mushy stuff. My husband has been encouraging me and he brought up the idea of trying different foods later down the road. In particular, everyone use chicken as the primary Protein, but he wants to me try BISON. He took me to this restaruant 2 years ago and he has researched serveral places to order BISON burgers and steaks. www.highplainsbison.com What are your thoughts?- BISON is supposed to be better than beef and lower in fat and higher in protein! Thanks

  17. Hi Everyone, I have tricare Prime, I have now went from the cancelled stage due to tricare said they didn't get the codes(?) for the surgery, so I call the surgeon office to let them know, so now my status for surgery is pending. So everyone wish me luck and hopefully everything will go okay and i can get banded in January. I started my journey in October. Happy Holidays!
  18. It is great news! Thank You!
  19. Hi everyone, Checked my approval status online (tricare) and it was showing incomplete info, so I called tricare and I was told case suspended until they get cpt codes and to have the bariatric clinic to call with the codes, so I called the Bariatric Clinic and they said they would take care of it. So hopefully this mean I am getting closer to the surgery. Will keep you posted on progress.
  20. You mean to tell me no cold one! It was not so much tricare, its the bariatric clinic insurance people, which today now the insurance person tells me even though I'm not doing the six month diet history she will go ahead and submit everything and we'll see what happens. Good luck to you and your wife! Will keep everybody posted, thanks for everyone support!

  22. Thanks for the information. I have gotten the same information from tricare and also from the bariatric doctor that he has everything but the insurance person there says she won't submit anything until she has 5 years of medical history and so i guess if the bariatric insurance person has the last say then I guess i will need to try to come up with this medical history.... thanks again everybody!
