Where could you tell first when you lost some weight?

Recommended Posts

Funny question I know but I was just wondering where you felt like you were losing first....

I told my Mom the other day that my bras were looser and my shoes were too big. How funny!

However I wish my belly was smaller too, but that day will come. People say they can already tell in my face....

:tongue2: Same hear, the very first thing I noticed were a couple of pairs of shoes were super loose, and my bra cups seemed a little baggy. I can't see it it anywhere else just yet, but others can tell. I'm sure we will see some overall changes soon. Good luck!

shoulders, arms, boobs, waist and back - the areas where i dont carry much weight anyway. My fat old bum and thighs took a lot longer to disappear - well to shrink!

I've noticed my collarbones more. I feel like I'm losing weight on the top part of my body. I wish my belly were smaller, but I'm still chalking some of that up to being fairly recent post-op. Also, I've noticed my hips are smaller, which was nice especially when I had to fly cross country for the holidays!

Congrats on the smaller bust, I'm looking forward to that!

I first noticed I had lost weight off my bottom half when I realised my jogging pants were too long as I no longer fill them out side ways! My wedding ring is also loose and I definately need to get some new bras, plus my shoes are a bit loose.

The very first thing I noticed was my necklace was hanging longer than usual. After that, I noticed the boobs...face...booty.

My feet were the first thing to lose their puffy look, then my rings got big (went from a size 9 1/2 to a 6 1/2) . Pants sizes started dropping before tops did. Went from a womens 34 and now am in a snug 14. My top half is slowly coming along, started out in a 50 dd bra and currently am in a 42 d (have always been busty), ill be happy if i ever make it to a loose fitting size large top!

It has always been my butt, hands, feet, arms and face first.

Then my hips thighs, boobs and upper abdominal area.

Always the last to go is my lower stomach but it IS slowly going away.

Face and stomach. Actually, the scale showed me loss before I ever SAW it, but I am starting to see it now. However, I am down 23 lbs from 295, and as I heard it said, it is like throwing a deck chair off the Titanic. Ok, so maybe I am down 2 deck chairs. I am not real excited yet, because I have always been able to lose 20 -40 lbs. I will be excited when I am under 200 and keeping it off. Sorry if I sould like a party pooper, I just don't have enough energy for the excitement.

Both myself and friends seem to notice my face first. After that my wedding ring didnt fit any more. Than I was walking around Walmart one day and my 3X sweat pants fell down to my anckles, right than i though hey i think my butt is getting a little smaller...lol... I'm over 100 lbs off now and to be honest I still see a very fat guy in the mirror. I wish i felt better about my progress but it is taking my mind longer to see the weight lose than it is taking my body to lose the weight. I hope my mind jumps in the game soon.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
