While I've had my fair share of NSVs, I've fallen back into some old habits and just had one of the NSDs (non-scale defeats) that I used to hate so much.

Okay, I'll admit it... as a morbidly obese woman, I used to drop food on my shirt all the time. I notice thin woman rarely have stains on their clothes.

I just ate dinner and did pretty well "bandwise." But as I was putting the food away, I had to shove one more bite in, which left sauce slopped all over my fresh-out-of-the-dryer white t-shirt. Had I only stopped when I was full I'd still be smelling Downy fresh.

Ohhh yes, I remember the days clearly, I still have a while before it is a distant memory, but the "spillages" are getting less and less.

I am famous for having large coffee stains on my shirts and jeans at work. I am hoping for the day when the stuff falls and hits my shoes instead of splatting on the big ole boobies.

My husband always notices when I do that. I wonder if he'll notice that I'm NOT doing it anymore once I get this weight off.

This has happened to me way to many times. Ive become quite the joke at work, since I am always wearing a different shirt after lunch- I manage a Gap so am constantly having to buy a shirt after staining the one I wore in- ugh. -Leah

OMG, I am ALWAYS doing this!! You can almost tell what I had for dinner just looking at my shirt. :)

If you eat sitting in front of the tv do you use your stomach rolls as a table? When I lose weight I will have to sit at a real table because I will no longer have one built in!!

I totally missed this thread somehow, but it's definitely the story of my life. It's been a while since I did this... I know I did it at this weight before, on the way up, but for some reason going down seems to work better, LOL.

My mom calls my boobs my shelf.

But I hate when it misses my boobs and hits my stomach and I don't notice because my boobs are in the way. Then I've got a stain I didn't even try to get out because I didn't know it was there!

ha ha ha THE SHELF...my mother calls my layer of boobs my shelf too. After eating she would tell me that I need to DUST off my shelf..lol i would have crumbs and splotches of my sauces all over my shirts. I too, would have to change shirts after eating lunch or be a pro at using the shout wipes and such and walking around with a big dark spot on my shirt all afternoon. How embarrassing.

:speechles I look forward to having to tell my mom to dust her shelf off....

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
