I showered the day after surgery but was told to avoid letting the water stream over the incisions too much.

I was told to avoid soaking in a bathtub or a hot tub or even swimming in a pool for those 2-3 weeks. Something about possible infection in the incisions.

I was banded on Jan 28th, and aside from some gas pain, I'm feeling pretty great. So happy to be on this journey!

i was banded on the 20th by Dr. Scott at UTSW in dallas (he did the "single incision surgery" thats new). i'm still pretty tired, and gassy too, but other than that things are going well. i'm looking forward to eating real food again soon, even if its only "soft foods".

I was banded Jan26th in TX by Dr. Griffin, excellent doctor.

My starting weight was 300.8

after Preop diet 286.2

Almost a week out from surgery down to 281.1

Blessings to all that are beginning this journey in 2009.

CONGRATS TO ALL THE JANUARY HOTTIES!!!

Banded yesterday, the 30th, and feel absolutely great !!! Just soreness at the incision sites when standing up or rolling over. So glad this step of the journey is behind me.

All the details & pics are on my blog, feel free to check it out :-)
