I'm up, and don't wanna be!!!

Rick left, and I could not go back to sleep. He had to go in early for a safety meeting, so he will get off an hour early on Saturday---since he cannot go over his hours allottment.

I lay there thinking, I hope Pamela is not too nervous----she is gonna kick a$$!!! And just think---we knew her "when"!!!!

Terry, I loved the Hero pic. I know just how he feels!!! That is similar to how I looked day before yesterday, trying to find a comfortable way to sit or lay down. My torso is better, not normal yet, but better. Wierdest thing!!!

Jane....2 days with no sugar! Way to Go! I have these stupid pecans Rick brought me from TX----some are chocolate covered and some are Amaretto Frosted....and they are my downfall right now. I am proud of you! If my band wasn't restricting me, I would have finished the bags of pecans, and been onto something new already!

On the + side----I did not eat a single solitary Reeces Peanut Butter Egg this year. I had one little Reeces rabbit----a single Cadbury chocolate hard shelled egg, and 2 peanut M&M's. That is it! That is all the easter candy I ate the entire season! And I have avoided the store, so I do not see the mark downs and tempt myself!!!

Well Friday afternoon, I go for my bone scan. I have officially begun to stress! I will go straight from work there---which is like around the corner. I am hoping to stay busy enough that day not to be totally freaked out. I actually leave work at noon, go over get my injection, come back to work, drink, drink, drink----and then go at 2 for the scan. This is the first scan I have had with serious restriction, not sure I can drink the huge amount of liquid they want---36-44 ounces in the 2 hour time line, and then be able to lay flat---without refluxing all that liquid! I bet my belly glows, where it is restricted going through my band! I normally have 4 big BRIGHT spots on the scan....the injection site, my bladder, and the 2 tumors. I have been wide open for the scans the last several times, and they know about the band....so guess it'll give it a new twist!!

The wind is howling out there! I HATE the wind! LOL

The sky looked brown yesterday, everything you touch is gritty with sand. It shows we live in a desert when it blows like this! And every idiot in town wearing contacts needs an emergency appointment, something is wrong with their contacts, they hurt, and feel like something is in their eye! Duh --- Yeah!!! I don't answer the phone unless the receptionist is on another line or busy, but I swear there are some serious idiots out there!!! And they want you to GIVE them everything! A lot of that is our culture here in the area. They want the Vitamins the Dr. recommends for macular degeneration given to them, all their eye drops, replacement glasses, cases, neck straps, there are even those who get mad at me because Medicaid will not pay for most eye surgeries. They will cover cataracts etc, but not lasik----they will cover glasses but not colored contact lenses. They will tell me, the gov't. is supposed to cover it all for them! It gets really frustrating. I have only been there ---this is my 3rd week----and one woman has already replaced her sons glasses twice. Medicaid will replace them daily if needed. Mom just has to document what happen. Now if another kid who has private insurance, loses his or they break, Mom & Dad are out the $$$ to replace them or the kid does without. Once again the responsible have to teach their kids responsibility, and the irresponsible show their kids how to continue to be irresposible.

Well time to get dressed.

Will see y'all after while!

Hugs!

Good morning and special violet vibes to Pamela!! That is such an accomplishment!!

I have a sleep study tonight, so no posting from me after this til tomorrow. I have had about 6 or 7 and have never gone into dream sleep, so I have two sleeping pills they gave me to sleep tonight. So I know I will sleep good/well. I never know when you can't and can use those words.

I am lucky that I am allergic to nuts, it really limits the candy I can eat!! You did great Kat, if that was me, any food in the house means I MUST finish it. I am not sure where that comes from. I don't ever remember being limited, we never really had dessert, so that wasn't an issue. I do remember though being little and my dad would say I can have 3 donuts, and I always said when I get older I am going to have as many as I want. That is the only time.

Hi to Jennifer, Tracyk, Tracyks, Laura, Carson, Terry, Judy, Suzanne, Suzie T, Heather, Haydee, Kat, Michelle, and a special one to Pamela!!!!!!

Oh terry, Hero looks so wonderful. I would love to just rub that belly. I just love it when my dogs sleep like that. Can't ever help myself from rubbing their bellies and kissing their necks, LOL. Oh and is that the furry blankie that I gave you two Christmases ago?? I love it! I have one just like it that I keep on my couch too!

Another beautiful day here. Hopefully no more cold weather! I'm ready to go swimming.

We are throwing a party for my sister on Saturday night. She's turning the big 3-0! She said no party but we of course ignored her, LOL...

We are gonna do a cocktail party with heavy appetizers. Is that acceptable nowadays? I have not a clue. Where are my hostesses with the mostesses to help me out here...

This is what we are planning to serve, the prerequisite cubed cheese and cubed meat trays. Assortment of sushi. Pot stickers and pork dumplings. Teriyaki Meatballs. Mini eggrolls. Chilled shrimp with cocktail sauce. Stuffed mushrooms. Hot asparagus dip. Spinach dip. A crudités platter.

The reason we are doing only heavy appetizers is because it's alot of people and we don't want to put down huge tables. Just barstools everywhere and a big dance floor area. Any other suggestions? Something easy? We want to have enough food so that people fill up!

Hello everyone!!!

Laura, every day I take a peek online looking for news :0). I am so excited about your upcoming new arrival that it is the first thing I think about when I log on. I just cant wait to see what he is going to look like.

Another day has passed and I have again had a piece of chocolate before lunch . . . aargh. This time I bit the head off of a small white chocolate bunny, but I left the nether regions intact. Perhaps that is progress of a sort, lol.

We are throwing a party for my sister on Saturday night. She's turning the big 3-0! She said no party but we of course ignored her, LOL...

I think cocktails and appetizers are an excellent way to go. I always have more fun at these kinds of parties than at a sit down meal. It encourages movement, mingling and ever-changing conversational groups. For a birthday party, I think it will be a perfect choice and your appetizer choices sound great.

YAY Laura! Have fun at both!! Are you going to the obgyn weekly nowadays? Do you know that I still have your present sitting in my car? oh my gawd i'm so bad. Carson will be four by the time he gets his baby present, LOL. No seriously I'm getting it out today, no if and or buts...

Heather - thanks for the encouragement! My other sister wasn't to happy about not having a sit down but I think I like it better like this. That's why I was second guessing myself...

Gah, I can't get myself organized at work today. I have a ton of work and it's already 11am and I've done nothing! Just piddly little stuff that keeps coming at me... I have to just shut my door, turn off my ringer and close my email in order to get this done. I do NOT want to stay late today... can't do it...

Still sending you good vibes Pammy!!

Really???? I am sooo excited at the thought and I can't wait to see Baby Carson. :0)

I was not sure if she was going to allow induction or not because of the difficulties some people have. I thought she was going to wait a little bit longer and then proceed if it didn't start naturally, but I can't remember the exact details of the posts. I think she is due on the 23rd which is about a week away.

If anybody hears anything, please post it so I can check :0)

I am stopping by my house real quick. Yea Laura!!!!!!!! I will have you and Russell in my prayers and thoughts for a quick painfree delivery!!

Hope all is going well with Pamela!!!

I have to ask you guys if having some of the little muffins with fruit in them at Sweet Tomatoes/Soup Plantation is considered sugar? I didn't eat any dessert. But did have three of the mini muffins.

Okay I am off now, hope all goes well with everyone!!!

Yeah that's pretty much what we look like LOL.

We are going to do it, she said I'm 4cm dilated and where as last week she didn't think I was favorable for the induction tomorrow (which is what she wanted a couple weeks ago), apparently he's now effaced 60% and dropped down.. woo.

So it's scheduled! Russ & I just got back from the Tea Party & Lunch.. we took pics of us at the Tea Party--where we got the final call from doc saying they were able to get us booked at the hospital. What a fun story to tell Carson someday.. found out we were gonna have him the next day while at a political rally!

Ok so I'm suppose to be wrapping things up at work so we can go home and get the house in order...

GTG I'll write more tonight.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
