Hey Gang~ My ears finally popped...what an amazing difference that made! I worked and finished diss edits this morning. I told chair I'd have it done by Mon. but the cold derailed me. Crossing fingers and toes that this is it...or close to it. I WANT THIS TO BE OVER SO BAD...as I am sure you all do now!

I love love love babies! And I was going to earn a Ph.D. in human sexuality, so I am not in the least intimidated by all the hooha talk, gross or not! One of the best days of my life was watching my nephew enter the world. I saw it all!!! I actually held on to the doctor w/ my right arm. My brother, who was banned from the feet (and was video tapping from the head perspective) tapped the birth and all you hear in the room was me...saying very loudly..."OH MY GOD...OH MY GOD...OH MY GOD!" That was my big contribution. I got to put his first diaper on...his little butt was sooo tiny. I loved every minute of it.

OK...just showered and going to make some hot tea. Kat, I think you are dead right w/ the ENT. I see my reg. doc on the 23rd. I'll get a reccomendation then. I am soooo scared of getting sick again!

Where the hell is TracyKS?

Kat I had a picc line for about a month, and I gave myself the iv's. My mom was there to learn just in case. It is no big deal, they come and deliver the medicine every other day and then come and take my blood the next, and so on and so on. I was lucky and never had one tiny problem!! I even worked with my picc line in after awhile. I just scheduled my day around the meds. This was when I had the staph infection in my tummy from the ovarian surgery. I just wrote down each step and then looked at that every time I did it. It sounds worse than it is. I had been in the hospital long enough with that, so I was happy to be out!!

Very slow day at work.

I have had more customers this year than any year I remember call to cancel because of the stomach flu!! I am knocking on wood as I type. At least they reschedule!! Is it just St. Louis or is it everywhere?

I am feeling restriction with my fill. I am very very happy right now. I have a lot of things going right!! Now I hope nobody faints or something, but I even walked on my treadmill 32:38 minutes!!!!!

Okay off to do some home stuff!!!

Good evening, Violets..

Just back from choir and dinner out. For the first time ever, I had Nachos grande and did not eat one single chip.. just skimmed the meat and fixin's off and let the Bobster handle the chips. So my pie hole report for the day is..

Breakfast...1 slice cheese, 1 bite of Ethan's pancake

Lunch....tuna salad with soy nuts

Blueberry/strawberry/cream/splenda mix

Mid day snack...broccoli with cheese sauce (leftovers)

Dinner...ground beef, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream about 1/2 cup worth

2 liters water

Ethan spent the day here and will be here tomorrow and Friday also. Jen came home today and the meds tire her out so I'll keep the little guy so she can rest up.

We're going to watch CSI: New York and then head to bed.

Kris stopped by today and she looks soooooo huge and uncomfortable. She has a doctor's appointment tomorrow so I'm anxious to hear how that goes.

Everyone have a good night.. sleep well.

(((Kat)))

Hi y'all,

Well, the Dr. nixed the coming home already idea! Looks like maybe Friday....whenever, we will wait, I want her as healthy as possible.

Jane they showed us how to work the pump, and all today and we will work with it tomorrow ( at least she will) they are going to add a length to the line now so she can do most of it herself.

Kinsey is still fighting some sort of stomach bug...the diarrhea continues. Such fun up and down 500 times a day and night! She says her bottom is sick!

Manda ask the Dr. about it, he laughed, and told her she was in the hospital with 200 people with the same bug, not to worry about it.

The ENT said today that her preliminary blood work looks like his diagnosis may prevail (Please God) as her nuclear something in the blood and her SED rate were lower than the diagnosing guidelines. Had us laughing and floating on cloud 9. Then the CD Dr. come in and told us that may very well be because the flare is easing. Brought us down in a hurry.

I took a book to the hospital and sat and read, we took off Kinsey's boots and let her climb up in bed with her Mama and she put on Spongebob----and in a few minutes Kinsey was snuggled up against her fast asleep. Should probably have been a clue she was getting sick! Manda turned the volume down, and within minutes she too was fast asleep. So I moved my chair outside again! The nurse come by and said she would put a sign on the door to check in at the nurses station. I told her it was not visitors that were the problem, it was the CNA's! They all were really good after that! The 2 of them slept for about 2 hours. Then they played a couple of games of candy Land. She always takes things to entertain herself, today we took the game. Then we come on home. She has spent most of the evening in the bathroom. She is asleep now and has a chewable Immodium in her system, maybe it will help.

Judy I agree that your DIL needs to have time to adjust to her meds and all before the stress of caring for a child again. Hope it all goes well. That is such a difficult thing to deal with, it makes you angry at them, then at the same time you kind of shake your head at yourself and realize it is a mental condition they have no control over. And the condition itself makes keeping on a medication regimine very hard. We have dealt with it through the years with the kids Mom. Her problem is the drugs and alcohol mess with the affectiveness, then she is convinced it isn't working so just quits it all....cold turkey and all hell breaks loose!

Think I might go try to get some sleep while Kinsey is, it was about 2 AM when the bathroom runs began last night.

I have no problem telling y'all I am tooooooo old for this!

Hugs~~

Kat

Good morning everyone-

What fun I had yesterday...NOT! At about 3:00 I was in the kitchen doing some cleaning and I hear Water dripping, like rain, I look over and we have water dripping down our walls. Anyway, very long story short and 2 holes in our walls later, we had a bursted water pipe. I am SO glad I was in the kitchen and saw it as soon as it started. We had water in our hallway carpet and in the kitchen, but the tile was no biggie. The people that live behind us....the maintenence guy said they had 2-3 inches of water in their place, so I am glad I saw it when I did. What a mess it would have been if we would not have been home! They left a blower and the hallway is almost dry this morning. Whew!

I am still on tom but I *feel* like I am losing weight. Maybe it will be good news on the scale? ! If not, I will still keep on keepin' on!

Judy-now THAT is willpower to not have one single chip! Way to go lady! I would have had to order it like this "nachos grande with no chips please".:lol:

Kat-I sure hope that Kinseys bottom is not sick anymore! Poor babygirl! How is granny?

Jane-way to go on the treadmill sista! :frown:

Pamela-God how I wish my ears would pop. I can not hear a thing and this headcold is driving me over the edge!

Haydee-you are right! The move, the expense of it and everything else is SO worth it just to see Macy happy! Hey...I saw the Bubbles over here....I finally live by one now. DH said, "isn't that the place where one of your violet friends work?". lol Guys are so funny.

TracyinKS, Terry, Jenn, LittleMama (that is Laura), HeatherO (little mama jr:tongue2:), Suzie and Michelle..... :crying: Have a great day everyone! Respect the pouch...RESPECT IT! :w00t:

Good morning girls~

I am just a bit better due to a good night sleep and not coughing all night. I took 2 PM's and slept good until 3:30...then was up for an hour thinking of my new "special" kid. I am out again today (3 days in a row) due to another meeting. I hope he is settling in ok...the unknown is killing me.

I have an appointment w/ an ENT tomorrow at 2:30. Hopefully I am suffering w/ my LAST sinus infection.

After my meeting today I am getting my "do" done. It has been 6 weeks and you wont believe my gray hair!

Have a great day everyone!

Yesterday I was thinking about how much fun we had at the bar in Gruene. OMG...what a hoot that was. Those drinks (what were they called) kicked ass...a bit rot gut...but good all the same. We had a blast! Wish Tracyk was w/ us. Then...didn't we do a Sonic or Jack in the Box drive through at like 2am??? I remember taking pix of my "girls" and putting them on Jane's phone! hahahahaha...good times!

Good Thursday Morn, Vi's~~

Had a busy day yesterday... we went to the sports pub last night & watched the US beat Mexico in soccer (yay!)... actually, it was me, dd, & a friend & her dd @ our table, & we were more watching American Idol than the game... the other table w/the 3 teens was where the soccer-watching was going on!

We were driving home & dd is in the back and she starts to cough and then SPLOOSH!! -- she throws up EVERYTHING she'd just eaten over the previous 2 hours (wings, ceasar salad, ice cream brownie thingy) ALL OVER THE BACK SEAT OF THE CAR!! The SMELL! OMG! She was crying & I'm trying to drive w/out heaving myself & ds is yelling... whoo! So we get home & I take off my new sweater & put on an apron & get a spoon, paper towels, windex & a trash bag & go out & "dig in", literally! I kept gagging as I was scooping it up & scrubbing it... I left the window open hoping that would help, too. Then I stripped down dd in the garage, put her in the shower, put her clothes in the washer... what an end to a fun evening!

So this a.m., dd & I are running late (of course) for the bus & we jump in the car and BOOM -- the SMELL is still there! So I get a can of febreze & pump that back there... so now my car smells like lemony-barf. Lovely.

SOOOOOO long story longer... I'm meeting my friend for coffee @ 10, then will drive straight to the car wash for a clean!! I'm sure they must get this type of thing all the time, right?? Too bad I don't live near one of Haydee's Bubbles!!!

The other excitement here today is the WIND! That TX, OK wind has blown itself here & it's crazy! You all remember the last time it was this windy & we had 6 trees come down through our neighbor's fence & had to pay beaucoup bucks to get it all fixed... so it makes me very nervous!!

Ok... I'm obviously hyped up today! Make it a good one, Vi's!

Good morning, Violets..

Guess who is here playing baseball on the Wii?? Yup... we have Ethan for the day today and tomorrow as well. Jen is home and resting. I feel much better having Ethan here. Kris is coming over after her doctor's appointment.

Kat... things sound like they are looking up for Manda. I'm so glad she's where she is getting good care. I still can't believe all the time they wasted in the beginning not taking care of her right away!!!! Are you going to let the hospital know they were out of line on making her wait so long??

TracyK...want me to send my son there?? He's a disaster restoration specialist. He takes care of floods, fires, and other yucky stuff that I won't even mention.

We got tons of rain last night, but luckily it didn't freeze and we didn't get the snow they predicted. It looks really (lalala, Michelle) CRAPPY out there today. No sun, everything wet and melting.

The Bobster has a hair appointment today and so do the yorkies so at least Ethan will get out of the house for a while today.

Michelle.. just read your post.. Go to a pet store and get some Nature's Miracle. It works wonders with smells. You just spray it on and leave it. If the car wash doesn't work, try it.

The scale FINALLY went down 1 pound this morning, so skipping the chips last night was worth it.

I haven't had Breakfast yet so I better go and get some tuna with..... surprise..........soy nuts.

Everyone have a good morning.BBL...

Good morning!!

After reading about Tracy's Water problems, Michelle's dd and car, I'm beginning to think yesterday was just a bad day all the way around -- our main server at work crashed at 1 pm. By 10 pm, I thought all was good and went home and left it to our IT people (I'm the accounting manager). Came in this morning and IT worked on it until 6 am, but it died. They are now moving everything to another machine and it may take most of today and part of tomorrow?? The accounting software is on another server so we can still sell parts, but all of our machine drawings, excel files, e-mail, etc are on this main server.

Parts of being down yesterday were ok -- it took four hours to get the work around for us to be able to use the accounting software -- so it left me without much to do. Kind of a nice and relaxing birthday...

I need to get back on track today with the food intake and exercise. I usually manage to go to Curves three times a week. I have a treadmill at home that I need to use more though.

Well, I guess I should try to do some work...ooops, off to another computer problem.

Have a good day!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
