How are the banded Notorious Novembers???

Recommended Posts

good morning everyone. just wanted to check in. i had my 4th post op/fill appt yesterday. i've lost 13lbs since my last appointment 5 weeks ago and i am very excited about it. my doctor was reluctant to give me any additional restrction and i wasnt 100% sure that i needed any either, but after a long discusion we agreed that a very small addition would be appropriate (.5) and we'd see what happens.

I am so happy for you, that is awesome. Glad to hear your losing so well. I have had 2 flouroscopys within the last 3 weeks. Still trying to get it right. I went in today and got a fill and I think this one may be it. I am at 7.8cc in a 10cc. I actually felt full tonight and still do. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Congrats, BJ!!! That is truly a wonderful feeling - the next one will be when they are too big for you, and from my experience, that is coming..... I LOVE MY BAND!! Can't wait to be able to buy 10's. Guess that's my next goal.

Good Morning Everyone!

I just had to tell you that I finally got my BODYBUGG last weekend! I've been on it a full 8 days now, and in the first week I lost 3 1/2 lbs!!!!! I'm so totally psyched now! LOL

On the flip side, I felt so good about working out, running, and the weight loss, that I overdid it a bit. I lost count doing deep knee bends during a favorite song of mine, and figure I did over 100. And this morning I can't walk! Arghhh! ;) But I will, even if it's for a short walk to loosen my muscles up!

To those of you that have been considering a Bodybugg, they are a bit expensive but well worth it! I'm so glad I have mine now!

Tkl

I've stalled.

But, I am not exercising either...I am always too tired. It takes everything I have to get through work each day and by the time I get home I am on the couch. Anyone else feeling this way?

Ugh, YES I'm tired all the time. The only thing I can figure is that my body just hasn't gotten quite used to 1000 calories a day and little carbs, but I'm at a loss for any other explanation.

I was feeling that, but have just added walking into my day. I started out small- 10-20 minutes per day. Now I'm up to 5 plus miles most days and I feel great. It took a while but I have lots of energy now.

Sometimes 1000 cals is too low for some people. I know some days I dip below 1000 and feel a bit slugish.

Hey all.

In a 14/16!! Haven't been since High school. Last night I went through my closet and got rid of all my fat clothes, and replaced them with my hand me down thinner clothes. Thank goodness for friends with the lapband.

I am getting to the gym as often as I can. I have been chasing after 4 kids, so that has to count for the days i don't go. My hubby is awesome, and helps me out alot. I am 15lbs away from being in the onederland! I can't believe it!

I am so glad to hear all of you are well!

Keri

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
