Holy Protein Cow! Cottage Cheese!

Recommended Posts

I like cottage cheese with just paprika on it. Very tasty. Haven't tried Greek yogurt yet. I believe you make yogurt cheese with it. Line a small sieve with a coffee filter, plop in the yogurt, set the sieve over a bowl in the refrigerator, and let it drain for 24 hours. A clear liquid drains out and the yogurt is thicker. This only works on plain yogurt with no Gelatin added.

Cottage cheese has kept me from dying (not really :grouphug: ) on my pre-op diet. I'm allowed 3 servings of dairy a day, either skim milk, light yogurt or cottage cheese. I eat 2-3 servings of cottage cheese a day instead of the others because it's more filling. I've always like it to I just hope I feel the same way about it when after I'm banded.

After my surgery in March 08, I ate cottage cheeze everyday, I'm not sure why I stopped. Maybe I got bored with it.

Thanks for all the ideas everyone. Im going to start eating it again with some of your great ideas

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
