Hi Dona,

I don't know if it's going to be the same for you but about my bowel mouvement, of course it's way less than what it was before because you eat way less so it goes together. Eating your fibers helps a lot like "Fiber 1". Usually, every second day I would go. There's no problem with the pills just maybe the Vitamins ones but I use shewable ones. I hope those infos. are going to help you. I know before the surgery we have so many questions so if you have other questions, don't be shy. I'll try to answer them the best way I can.

By the way, Happy Holidays!

Hi Dona, I`m looking forward to news of your progress! I have seen Dr. Savoie in mid december and I will see him again in february. I am so looking forward to getting the band! Did he ask you to lose some weight before getting the band? I have lost 5 pounds so far, that's a big jump for me!! It's hard to wait, now I remember what christmas was like 35 years ago! :smile2: I hope it's going well for you!

Hi Dona,

You're doing very very well. Like you say, if you're able to cook and everything it means you're ready and it's a good thing. I'm sure everything is going to be fine and you won't regret your decision. Keep on the good work.

I am glad to hear everything is going well. I had bloodwork done on Friday. I have scheduled 8 days off as we will be going into March Break after that and then I have access to our school elevator. Quick question for you or anyone...Are you able to take your daily medications during the two weeks before the operation or do you have to stop taking them? (Vitamins and prescriptions) Take care. I will probably have plenty of questions to come.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
