Complete Unfill! Bummer!

Recommended Posts

Went in last week for a complete unfill due to recent medical conditions unrelated to the band. After a week of an unfill, I am now reminded of why I have the band in the first place. I am feeling no restriction for the first time in 18 months and I can eat anything. Old habits die hard, but I am trying to keep a grip on it. I don't want to gain weight and if I could just stay the same I would be fine- wow it's hard! I would have thought that after 18 months of restriction I would have better self control........it's scary and a little depressing to think I can just slip right back..........

Bless you - I know it's difficult but hang on in there.

I am waiting for a complete unfill as after over 5 years (last fill being about 3 years ago) my band suddenly decided to tighten itself. Been for an x-ray under fluro today to check for slippage and erosion and the doc couldn't see anything other than the band being very tight and not allowing and food and barely any Fluid through.

It never ceases to amaze me how this has suddenly happened after all this time. But it is very painful (feels like my stomach is in a vice) and I just need to get it slackened off so I don't dehydrate.

Hope your medical problem is soon sorted so you can get a fill again as I can imagine what you're going through.

Good luck

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
