I have a million sorority sisters in Texas and they are always bragging about the food, the fun things to do. I love traveling so maybe soon I will stop by Texas, too bad I wont be eating the food

I am from Washington, Dc and I was banded on October 1st by Doctor Halmi.

Central New Jersey. My date is Oct. 14 with Drs. Bertha and Abkin.

I love DC, one of my fav places to eat is Marrakesh on New York Ave. DH and I found it on our first trip to Washington.

We would have loved to live in or around DC but the job market for environmental eng isn't great

RU come on down anytime for a visit...lol but just don't expect a spotless house. We have lived here for six years and I miss home (Central Alabama) but DH job is here so here we stay.

I live in Gadsden, AL and having surgery on Tuesday, Oct. 7th. Scared to death of course. Prayers and good wishes to all being banded this month. On our way to a new life !!!!!:tt2:

Bama2. Don't be scared. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, to me the worst part was getting the IV started and even at that they were able to get it easily. I always have a hard time with getting the IV started. Everyone at the hospital were so nice. Everything went smooth. Oh, I guess one other thing that was not too great was having to drink that nasty stuff so they could make sure that liquids would go down thru the stomach. The nurse said it was nasty and she wasn't kidding. I had to be at the hospital at 5:30 am for 8:00 am surgery and was ready to go home by 1:30pm. You will do great. Some people say that they wake up and think to themselve, "What have I done", but not me. All I can think of is how much better I am going to feel and look. Next year this time, we will be new women.
