I'm not sure about the bra. But I am wearing one of my house dresses. It's like a lounger made out of cotton. It has a nice print that you can't see thru, so I am not wearing a bra. If someone has an answer to why we need a sports bra with no wire, please let me know. If I need to wear one, please let me know. I had a colonoscopy (spelling) this year and I wore that same dress. It sure made it a lot easier to get dressed and there is no waist line to put pressure on my stomach. And I just wear my Croc slip on sandals. I am not trying to impress anyone, not yet anyway.

I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 am. That sounds early, but I have to be at work at that time, so I am ready. The nurse from the hospital called today and said the whole procedure would take about 3 to 4 hours from the surgery time, (surgery is at 8:00 am), so I could be out of there by 12:00 noon. I hope so. I hate to stay in the hospital.

Good luck to all the Smashing Pumpkins.

I wish we could hear from some of the Pumpkins that had surgery today and yesterday.

...so I could be out of there by 12:00 noon.

You aren't staying overnight? I guess since I am going to that I assumed everyone did. I hope you have someone to stay w/ you that night!

I'm not expected to stay the night either, not unless they have to do it open or I'm running a fever. Do most people stay?

My doctor said that most of her patients go home the first day unless like Ara said you are running a fever or had to go to the open surgery. I think it depends on your surgeon if you stay over night or not.

SickNTired, thank you, yes I have someone to stay with me at night, either at the hospital or at home, my DH. He has been very supportive thru all of this. Today I am on my pre-op liquid diet and he stopped and got something to eat before he got home.

Tomorrow is my BIG day and I am ready.

I'm second and have to show up at 6:30 a.m. need to also get up early enough for a shower with a special wash they gave me. LOL I'm a bit cranky right now as my sugar has dropped because of the lack of food, I tried the beef stock and it was horrible so I can see I'll have to be making my own. So I've had 3 popsicles and, Water, hot tea and two lovely oz of Milk of Magnesia *LOL* I think the MOM filled me up the most!

Hey everyone, Good luck to all the Oct. banders. I had mine done yesterday, went in about 1:00 and was on my way home by 5:00pm. I am doing well, still a little sore, I'm keeping full liquids down. I was only on a pre-op diet for 2 days (clear liquids). I had my surgery at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV by Dr. Nease, he is a wonderful surgeon. I have to stay on full liquids until my return office visit on Oct. 10. I haven't felt hungry yet, I haven't had the bad gas pains that I've heard so much about (at least I haven't had them yet). I wish you all good luck with the surgery and a speedy recovery to all.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
