Hello Fellow October Bandsters.

I just got an approval from my health insurance on September 16th. My surgery date is October 3rd. What kind of pre-op diets are you guys following? I start mine on September 19th, but I am not sure of the details yet.

Excited in Georgia!

A good friend of mine was banded in August. She swears by the unjury protein powder (all flavors including an unflavored version that she says works well with Crystal Light). You have to order online.

Congrads :) to all the October Bandsters. As far as myself i'll be on a 2week supply of Optifast( from the Dr.Office ) and clear liquids prior to surgery. I Clearly see how each case is different

Hi everybody! I just got my date for surgery! October 29th! I'm excited and nervous at the same time! I don't go in for my nutrition class until the 14th, so I'm not sure what kind of pre-op diet I have.... will have to check into that. Just wanted to say hi, it's been a long time since I've been here, but will be here a lot more now!

My preop diet consist of 2 protein shakes and a no carb meal for dinner.. my protein shake of choice is the Low carb chocolate slim fast. It gives you the protein you need and it gives me the chocolate fill I need ha ha.. Anyways my diet technically starts tomorrow, but I have been on it for about a week because my hubby is a week ahead of me so I was trying to be supportive during his week. I avoided as much carbs as possible in front of him.. Best of luck to every one :)

my 4 week pre op diet is protein shake for breakfast, sensible meal for lunch, and protein shake for dinner. protein bars for snacks as well as veggies. i'm down 6 pounds since last monday! it's getting a little harder to resist the cravings, but i take it a day at a time.

I'm an OCTOBER BANDETTE!!! I'm set for Oct. 6, Monday morning. My Insurance approve last week. Now, that means I have to start Pre-opt diet this coming Monday..I will look for Atkins Advantage Protein drinks. I'm not sure what all I can have, but liquids only. I'm getting banded in MD. Let's all stay in touch. I have to go for Pre-opt testing and take pre-op class for 2 hrs. and Post-op food/juice shopping. teeeheeee

October Bandette!!

I don't know how everyone else feels, but is it October yet :cool2: I am so excited for all of us .. I just can't wait to hear about everyones success :w00t: I am looking forward to sharing this journey with so many great people. I guess I should be off to sleep.. Talk to everyone soon.:)

I am very excited!!! I drink a Slim Fast Low Carb Chocolate shake every morning anyway. It helps with my IBS (I don't know how, but it does!). So luckily I like them and actually look forward to drinking it in the mornings. I guess I'll have to figure out what I'll be eating/drinking after surgery so I can be prepared for what to get. I can't believe it's only next month! I set my date yesterday and am so excited!!! :crying:

Yeah for all of the October Bandsters!!

I am on the diet shakes in the morning Slim Fast and for lunch and then I eat a salad at supper.

I bought some EAS protein shakes for after surgery.

I have lost 12 lbs in two weeks! I have been walking a mile or two every evening also and I think that has helped alot.

I can't wait to hear about everyones success after surgery!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL OCTOBER BABIES :crying:

What a great gift to get in your birthday month!
