Because you guys are like family...

... I thought I'd share some news with you.

My wife and I have filed for divorce... for the 2nd time. Yes, from each other. For the 2nd time. No, you're reading it right, and you're understanding it. We're divorcing each other, again. I thought marrying the same woman twice was unique... wonder what the percentage of the population who have divorced the same person twice is...

I'm a slow learner, I guess.

Anyway, it's a testament to the wonderfull tool that the band is that I've LOST weight instead of gained it during this turbulent time. In addition to the marriage thing, I "retired" from the software development world today, and will be pastoring a church for the next 4 years as I go to the divinity school (seminary) at SMU at get my Masters degree. The squids (10 year old boy, and 5 year old girl) will be moving and living with me.

It's been a BUSY BUSY BUSY month... but my chin is up, my waist is down, and I'm looking forward to the fall.

So why am I posting? I dunno... maybe I need a few "hang in there"s from my LBT family. =)

Jonathan

I hope you don't have to move house on top of everything!

Hey Jonathan,

It doesn''t sound like you need a hang in there you need a WAY TO GO, your are doing with your life what makes you happy and not letting the bumps in the road get you down, what an inspiration

Jonathan,

((hugs)) brother! You are making a big change in your life - and the biggest is single parenting! On the flip side of all of this - all of these expriences are going to make you an awesome pastor/minister!

Good luck - and especially...

May the Lord bless you and keep you! May He Face shine upon you and be gracious to you! May He look upon you with kindness and give you is peace!

Johnathan: My prayers are with you through this difficult time.

aaaagh! You will probably be too busy to eat. Good luck packing -- think of all the calories you're burning by shifting all that stuff around. We're all hoping for the best for you and your family during this chaotic time. I'm sure you'll get some amazing sermon material out of all this!

Johnathan, losing all your weight and following your dream, two great accomplishments!

As for the "spuids" kids are very adaptable, especially if they have a stable home to go back too. Good luck on your new adventure.

Hang in there Jonathan Divorce is never easy. I am glad that your true calling has found you and hats off to you for keeping your squids with you..You will be quite busy and hit your goal in no time.

You are truly blessed:)

Jonathan,

Good luck with everything, you're heading in a good direction. Tough times always makes a person stronger. And for the record, I think it's pretty common people remarry the same person, I know of 3 people who have done it, unfortunately, they had the same result as you. Isn't life grand?????? :)

Perhaps since you done this once, this time will be easier :) I'll send you a big hug XXXX.. Good luck! Hang in there

Jonathan, I read your post last week and meant to reply...I hunted it up today to send you some support. I hope you are well and still keeping your chin up with all of those life changes. I feel some coming on for me as well ....I'm scared to death but it is staring me in the face and I must face the truth and make a life change. Good luck with your new career. It is soooo much more than that I am sure and being a pastor is truly a calling you have decided to act on. It was meant to be....probably all of it and the way it happend for you. I have kids too so I am sending you good thoughts and strength to deal with them. Take care of your self I enjoy reading your posts you are an incredible writer with great insight. You sound like a great pastor already.. ;-)
