One fill and I still am eating the wrong things and giving in to temptation. I feel that I have no restrictions and I can't go for another fill before three weeks. So I give up. Just had to say that

When I was using the meal replacemnt shakes I used Glucerna. It is made for diabetics ( i am not one) but it had the lowest fat and sugar content and came in vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. Only could find it at Wal mart in the pharmacy section.

Welcome to Bandland Try to do arm circles to move that gas around that is what is causing the pain. You are right you are on the way to a skinnier new but not a better you cause you were always great to start with you just did not know it.

Well Monday morning back at work and staying on track was easy, but.... home by 6:00 quick wrong bite run out to soccer with the little one, back by 8 supper for all (baked chicken) tried to eat too fast spent the next few hours praying to the porcelin g-d, now for tomorrow need to be back on liquids to have time to heal. What a way to end the day........:cry

Hi all, Here has been my roller coaster for thelast few weeks, Had one fill of 2c.c and had restrictions for three days. Went back for a second fill three weeks later added another 4ccs felt well after the visit went to work, three hours later began vomitting non stop had to rushed back to the doctor where he removed 2.5cc. Went on liquids for three days then tried to eat msuhy stuff but it won't stay down. I am not going back to the Dr. but this is really getting annoying.I am giving it one more week then if things are not better I wil go see him again.

I agree healthy quality food is more expensive than the processed and fast food stuff I used to buy. But going out is definatly much miuch cheaper

Well it sitwo weeks since the fill and I have no restrictions so I am going for another one on the 30th hope it works this time, it is really bumming me out. I will let you all know how it goes.

My PCP is very stong on Medic ALert for al the reasons listed above, In case of accident no tubes should be put into your stomach, No compressions in the band area or port area . I ordered my on line from medic alert and it has the basic info on the bracelet and of course the telelpohne number to call that has all the back up info about the band.

Have you heard about this new proceedure where tey inflate a balloon in the stomach via the esphagus and then can deflat it after total weight loss is achieved. Not cutting and no general anastesia

Well, I had my first fill today. My surgery was Jan 18 and up until a week ago I was doing fine and lost 47lbs in total by the dr. told me I was due for t he fill and now I am back to square one with the eating only liquids for a few days then mush etc... I hope tht I can get back on the wagon today was only liquid but I think I am too scared to even try anything else yet I am terrified of PB or worse. Once again thanks for all the words of encouragement it really did help you all are a GREAT GANG!

Well, Thank you for the advice all, I have decided thatI might need a fill to help me get back on track. So I am going to my pcp tomorrow morning to get my first one, I am nervous about this but I think it is the only way to get back on the wagon. I will let you all know how it goes. Once again thank you all for everything it really does help that ou are al there for me I hope that I can be that same strenght for others

According to my dr. I can't drink 30 min before , during and 30 min after. This is so that your pouch stays full longer, you have better nutritional absorption and it is healthier in general. It is hard but I trust they know what they are talking about

Hi All, I will be making a grocery shopping trip in the nest week or so and I was wondering if anybody had any tips for things that are good for bandsters to buy which I can not get hre in Canada (which by the way is a lot of things with artificial sweetener) I am looking for things like crystal light (we do get that here) snack foods and any other suggestions.(nothing frozen) Thanks for the help
