What does everyone do for a living?

I noticed a lot of you girl and guys are on during morning hours and less at night so im thinkin you all are at work. Im a stay at home mom and i redeliver newspapers to people who did not get them on the weekends...

I dont work right now as much because i have gotten to a point where i feel almost embarrassed to get a job. I have a hard time working in an office because i dont have the right clothing to wear and anything that looks office appropriate in my size is like 35 years older than me..;):D Well the benefits of seeing my daughter grow up right now are far greater than an office job so for now its ok, but i can be a sit on my azz mom forever....its time to get moving and get my career goin....

So anyway just curious what you all do for a living and basically just tryin to get a feel for you all.

p.s. i dont think ive ever used "you all" in a post so many times!!

Professional Geek:

I am a Project Lead, run a team of Software Quality Assurance Technicians in functional and Localization software testing.

Have an equally geeky hobby business (website hosting, that kind of thing)

My dh and I own two businesses: romantic gondola cruises in Newport Beach (CA), Lake Las Vegas (NV), Irving (Dallas area, TX), Myrtle Beach (SC), and soon to open in Orlando (FL) -- see www.gondola.com. My dh also performs wedding ceremonies in Southern California -- www.YouMayKissTheBride.com -- and I run the office for him.

Hey -- if anyone wants a gondola cruise in any of our locations, I can give you a special LBT discount :)

In addition to that, we homeschool our two daughters ages 8 (3rd grade) and 5 (kindergarden).

<WHEW>Makes me tired just typing it!

I would be interested in an LBT discount for the Lake Las Vegas gondola cruise. We'll be in Las Vegas from February 12th through the 16th. :clock: Thank you!

The only time I can't offer a discount is on the 12th-14th because of Valentine's Day ("the superbowl of gondolas"). But if you can go on the 15th or the 16th, I can give you 15% off any cruise :clock:.

Just call 877-4-GONDOLA and ask for the LBT discount.

I am a Realtor now, before that I was a regional director for a private school bus co. traveling all over so. Ca. I also train people how to drive a school bus, talk about having some scary moments.

I work part-time as a conservator representative (legal guardian) for twenty mentally-handicapped individuals. I mainly work from home (receiving emails, faxes, phone calls that require me to make medical and financial decisions for my clients since they have no family members to make these decisions for them). I also work VERY hard as a mother of three: Caleb Michael (almost 5), Samuel Taylor (almost 3), and Hannah Grace (almost 1).

I am the Accounting Manager at a local Hospital, I am a part time MBA student, and in my free time, I am the wife of a totally supportive and wonderful husband :)

I completely understand, but, thank you for the offer on the 15th. We may just take you up on it. :clock:

I am a registered nurse. I work as a director in a large health care corporation. I now cover 3 hospitals. It is a huge job. I'd rather stay at home with my kids. My dh is in grad school to be a counselor, so once he is done I plan on working at home as a legal nurse consultant.

HI! I am a corporate lawyer in NYC! I definitely hear you on office clothes. I just got banded on Tuesday and honestly the inspiration came largely from the fact that I no longer fit into a SINGLE DARN SUIT and I just refused to spend more money and buy bigger clothes. It made me not want to even go to work at all or get out of my pj's. I really hope and pray that the band will work for me and WITH ME so I can look forward to opening my closet in the mornings! Good luck!

i work for the Department of the Navy as a civil servant (no wise cracks here about gov't workers) lol...i have been all over the world with this wonderful job, including 8 months in iraq a year and 1/2 ago. i am getting ready to go to new orleans to assist with the katrina relief efforts there.

I'm a Medical Billing Supervisor for a staff of 12. We bill for a very large group of Primary Care Physicians, Radiation Oncology and Mental Health. My husband has his own computer tech business fixing computers, setting up networks, protecting clients from viruses and spyware etc.
