PaulaTX - I am chewing a lot of gum. Which my doctor told me I would have to stop after my surgery because he is concerned if I would swallow it by accident. Also I am drinking a low calorie fruit drink called FUZE. It is only 5 calories and very refreshing. I blend it with ice and it is like a slushee. I am on 750 calorie Protein diet but he has allowed me an extra 50 calories to splerge on with other liquids. You can do it - only a few more days. Remember THIN TASTES BETTER!!!

cutiew/booty ..... I am glad to hear you are doing okay. Can't wait to hear your experience. You are so positive all the time and have been an inspiration over the past few weeks. I always like to hear your thoughts - You are about a week ahead of me so I have gauged a lot of what's to come looking at your experience first. Hope all is well for you and can't wait to hear how you are doing.

Well I did it! I'm about 12 hours post-op. Had a little meltdown tonight about not eating whole food for 5 weeks, but looking at peoples before and after pics helped me get through it. Thanks for all the support. I'm glad that there are others in the same month that we can all share with.

LOOK! I figured out how to do the glitter words!!

-Click on my August All-stars it will take you the web-site

-Complete steps 1-4

-Go to your profile and edit signature

-paste your code in the box where you signature is...then hit save signature

****You will not see the glitter until after you save it, if you hit preview signature it will tell you there's an error and it won't work....It took me about 10 - 15 minutes to figure it out.

Iam getting banded August 28th....How did you get that August Avengers on your profile. Its cool I would like one for my profile...

Sorry here it is!

I am scheduled for August 13th. 5 days away. I got a call this morning about a mammogram i had last week and i had to go in today and have more detailed/diagnostic mammogram done. I am freaking out a bit. What if there is something wrong? What if I can't go through with the lap-band on Wednesday? I have been so worried and stressed that i have been snapping at my family all night. Anyone have in words of wisdom or comfort here? I also had foot surgery yesterday morning so I was standing on 1 foot while getting my left boob sqaushed and she was telling me to be still and don't move! LOL

I am so sorry for all that you are going through!! Keep your chin up though - there are some simple reasons why you might have to re-do a mammogram. Did you use deodorant that day? any talc or powder? anything that might leave a trace on your skin may show up on the x-ray films as a little something that the docs may want to have a closer look at. How about where you are in your cycle? How good is the tech in actually taking the x-ray?

Don't borrow trouble (although I know that's easier said than done)Keep thinking positive thoughts if you can. When will you hear about the results? Did they say you couldn't have the surgery until you hear? My thoughts are with you legdxdlr! Please keep us posted.

 Well, I was home two hours after surgery was done. I am a little sore, and of course walking off the gas in the chest. Definately nothing I can get through. I had no trouble up the stairs last night and rested well. All I can say is WoW !!! why didn't I do this a long time ago! I hope it went as well for all my band sisters as it did for me yesterday. Now its a new day and the start of a new life! Good Luck anyone that is going in on Monday.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
