Hey everybody!

I am here! Strike, I think you and I must be about the same but you have lost more than me. My doc says the Realize band takes a bit longer and more fill than the Lapband. But he is happy with me and that makes me happy.

Sorry I have been gone so long. I have been busy at work and :cursing: dating!!!!! More than one! LOL Who would have thunk it? :tt1:

I have been suffering since Friday though.... I went to the doctor and he gave me another .6cc of fill and I am almost too full now, but I finally really know what restrictioin feels like! I have been stuck two times and it is awful! But I am determined to keep this fill!

Congrats to all of you reaching 100 lbs! That is wonderful! From everthing I read, it is the exercise that really kicks in the weight loss! I gotta do better!

Apples, I hope you are having a fun time on your vacation! I have been invited to the beach in March! Yep, the date!!!!! I think I will go! Then this guy wants to take me to the food City 500 race in Bristol, Va the end of March!

Things are lookin up for this old chick!:tt2:

hi all! sorry you aren't feeling well allie! hope it's better by now!

allie, iteach and long, thanks so much for your replies about what you eat! i definately am eating more than you. i must not have the restriction 'sweet spot' yet.

i had a dr. appt yesterday and the upper gi showed 'esophagus spasms' - up before the food even gets to the band. and acid reflux which i already knew. i am not sure what that means re: weight loss. i can't get another fill till this is figured out. going to have an endoscopy test as soon as they schedule it so he can have a look at what's going on. i have had 2 severely painful events after eating that i thought were just a too tight band but now it seems they were these spasms. ?? very strange.

keep up the good work everyone! happy wednesday!

Okay Allie, I voted, what a cute picture, love the outfit!

I'm home again today due to ice.

Hey Apples, glad you are having a good time. I can't imagine having to worry about not losing weight. Right now I would welcome that problem.

Cathy, sounds like you are having a great time on the dating scene. Good for you!!

Hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning Junies..

Well due to my stomache bug I have lost 104.5 pounds!!!! I don't want to get to excited since I am sure once I am able to eat food again without my body ejecting it I will gain some back. I have been terribly sick with this bug and ended up getting put in the hospital to get an i.v. sever dehydration. So I am not getting to excited about this number since I have no fluids in me.. lol..

Lucy thanks for voting you are a sweety! That pic is from 2 years ago but it still makes me giggle.

Cathy you go girl!! Oh give us the details and let me live vicariously through you.. I love being married but miss the initial excitement of dating... you must be having a blast!!

Grey.. I hope you feel better soon!! That sounds terrible..

xoxox allie!

Hi all,

WOOO HOOO!!! All you hundreds, Long, Teach, Allie:thumbup:

Allie, hate you were sick, but hey take the only perk that came along with it. Hope you are feeling better now, oh yeah, I voted also. Couple #8 really had a crazy outfit.

I want to thank you all for the daily plans, too. Allie you helped answer my next question about how many calories ya'll eat a day. Like I said earlier, nutritionist said I wasn't eating enough.

I really blew it these last few days, ice and hurting makes for depression eating  and to make it worse, I KNEW what I was doing, I drank so I could eat :cursing:. Started over today.

Cathy, congrats on the new dating scene. Memories  :tt2:

I agree with Allie, love my husband, but miss the our dating years, when we couldn't wait to see each other, I sound sappy. :tt2:

Lucy, this stuff is terrible, I wanted to go to Conway and see Angela this week, but I guess I will have to wait. They are having a parents meeting up there on the 7th anyway, so hopefully it will all be gone be then.

Thanks again for the tips on diet, which Morningstar products are good?? I have tried the other brand, can't think of it right this moment, and ate the "grillers" burgers. I hate to just buy it to try it, because I usually don't like it. :cool2: That stuff can be so expensive. I will try it if someone else tells me its pretty good. So, I will take all suggestions.

Have a great day, everyone and again CONGRATS!

Hope you get better soon, I had a bad hiatal hernia before surgery and they fixed it while they did my lapband. It is a horrible feeling. Let us know, we will be praying for quick recovery.

Hey Cathy,

Since we were banded on the same day, do you mind me asking what size band you have? Since you were talking about how much restriction and getting use to it. I have not really felt any restriction yet. I was not told what size and how much my fills were, but I am going to ask them to tell me when I go back. I don't go back until Feb. 16th for my 6th. I say it is my 6th, they still have me down for 5th, makes me wonder whether I am crazy or they didn't put any in once?? I am coming out of that office with the answers

thanks,

In their defense I did not ask what size band, I was afraid if I knew that I would just think "that is not enough" ??? Crazy I know

Good Morning! Well 2 of those pounds came back this morning UGGH but my ticker only goes in one direction..

Mike, I am not sure what type of questions you are looking for.. for me the questions that were important were. How many bands have you done, is there a pre op diet, how much will this cost me, how long is the process and what types of tests do I need to get.

I hope that helps.

have a great day JUNIES!!

Oh and thanks to all who voted for me and my hubby!! We find out on the 5th if we won. If we win we get a limo ride to and from casino, hotel and restaurant, hotel for the night and gourmet dinner for two. I am keeping my fingers crossed xoxox

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
