Thanks Georgia. Do you have Wii Fit? I've heard it's fun, but haven't bought it. Money's tight right now since I lost my job a few weeks ago. I like Wii Golf... I beat my DH everytime!!!

Last night I was playing with my profile and loaded some of my photos of before, during and current. I don't think I've created the folder correctly, so will still work on it, but it was fun looking at the progression.

No, we don't Wii Fit yet. We plan on getting it though. We just need to save some money first. Plus, it's so hard to get right now anyway. I haven't tried the golf yet. I never really got into gold I guess but I will eventually give it a try. I like the bowling, tennis, and boxing. I've beat DH in bowling every time so far. And I LOVE to win, lol!

Just checked out your profile album and you look GREAT! Congrats on your weight loss. You have done really well!

week 2 is done...woo hoo!!! So I finished today soaked in sweat, heartbeat was at max level, but I didn't feel like I was dying. Now I am worried about going up to week 3. I felt good about week 2 and thought it was an excellent workout for me and I am feeling a little chicken about moving to week 3.

Before doing my C25K today I did ddr for 45 minutes. So I got plenty of cardio in today!

Well I am heading out here soon to do day 2, week 3. I'm dreading this big time! I struggled with day 1 so now I'm scared. I need a kick in the butt or something.

I know someone posted awhile back on how to figure out your target heart rate. The other day my heart rate made it all the way up to 170 and I was huffing and puffin pretty bad. I return down to around 130 during the walk part, but I was just wondering if 170 was too much. (I would search back but my connection is just dial up cause we live in the sticks and it would take forever to find it!) Someone tell me I'm not going to have a heart attack on the treadmill today! LOL

Georgia - I'm going to bend my workout partners arm and see what she thinks too. I think she'll say, 'Let's go for it"...How are you knees holding up? That's what I'm worried about - the pressure of jogging on them with the excess weight. I'm also worried I'll break the treadmill at the Y...lol or go flying off the back of it...that would be so embarassing!

LOL. Girl, you won't break the treadmill. I've been running outside in this terrible heat. I do think it makes me burn more calories though.

So far, I've had no trouble with knee pain. Surprisingly, I haven't even been that sore. A little today, but not bad. Anyway, good luck with day one and let us know how it goes.

Wow you ladies are rocking.

Welcome all the new ones too.

For those that dont know me i did the C25K program over Oct,nov 07 so i am here to encouarge you. I can run a 10k now without too much problem. I love Triathlons! There my fav. I would do them every week if i could. I run about 3 5k's a week and try and fit in 1 10k a week.

I started when i was around 360lbs or so.

Ang: 20mins is super scary. I remember almost panicing when i was on the treadmill ready to start it. But you will shcock your self. Go super slow. You will Love the feeling after.

MC Green: It took me till about 6 or 7 weeks to actually enjoy it. When i run 5k's now def the first mile is the worst. Then you kind of get into it.

Bonnie: CONGRATS on week 2 being done!!!!!! Way to go! Your doing awesome for yourself.

Whosya~you are so awesome! thanks for coming here and encouraging us.

I did week 2 day one and I LOVED it! I find that my day off inbetween bums me out, I want to run. It has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. I am worried about my knees aswell...how can we prevent knee injuries???

I bought a wii fit and honestly, I don't use it like I thought I would. I hope when the weather gets colder and I am not outdoors as much that I will use it more often. I would like it if it had pre-set workouts that would take me from start to finish too.

well wishes to all our Cto5k runners!!!

Hi everyone... sounds like we're all doing great!!

I took the kids and dog for our nightly walk with my DH. Its a 2km walk, and we usually stop at the playground halfway. So tonight, when we stopped at the playground, I sent them off with the DH to play and I continued with the dog for another 2km at a much faster pace. It felt great, and all I could think about was wanting to run!!!

I think this is going to be good!

I finally did week 3 day 2 this evening. It went easier then I expected. I was dreading it big time, but I feel great tonight.

I found out today that there is a 5K on August 30 close to where I live. If I am able to progress each week, I should finish up the C25K program about that time. I think I am going to sign up and give myself something to work for. Even if I am slow, slow, slow I really want to do it!

Actually the C25k program builds up your knees slowly. that why its such a good program. YOu migh think you slowly getting yourself fit but you are building up the muscles around your knees and ankles slowly so you dont get injurys. Thats why the rest day is SOOO important. You have to rest. You going to be tempted to do no rest days sometimes but this is when you can hurt yourself. I would swim or weight lift on days off.

This is a fairly doable goal. But it might be rough too. You may feel like you have to repeat some weeks. I think you would be able to do it but you are going to have to be super slow and pace yourself. Its hard to do that on an organized run because you get soo excited at the start with all the excitement you can tend to run to fast to start with.

But im behind you all the way!!! Yu can sign up on the day normally so dont feel like you have to pre register.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
