Would you have your mons lifted?

  1. 1. Would you have your mons lifted?

    • Yes, they are as out of shape as I am.
    • No, that area is forbidden!
    • Maybe...

The way my PS explained it to me, there is only so much they can do surgically with some patients due to the hair issue. Some people actually go and have laser hair removal done prior to surgery, so that the skin can be lifted without issue.

There are also different ways of making the incision----and those respond differently to the hairline.

Most recently I saw BooBooKitty's pics----and her TT incision looks like a smile....a ) flipped of course shape----he said with that the incision will be higher. My incision is much lower over all and not shaped at all like hers! mine is something like this _/ It begins on one hip bone, and follows the angular drop to the pubic bone, and then the straight incision across the bottom is very, very low---it is in fact usually in the pubic hair line he said, then it goes across to the other side of the pubic bone, and angles back up to the other hip bone. To look at it straight on, you do not hardly see the angled scars, they blend with the natural contours of the body. Right now my lower scar is VERY visible---but I have had some infection issue with it, plus, I did not grow much hair back following my chemo----so it is what it is.....not a personal choice, or a style statement---just my body!

My surgeon discussed all the different incision options with me, and what he thought best for my body type, and need. I had no idea I had options for how to be cut!

Thanks for that reply Kat!! Very informative. Makes sense to me. I don't know if I would do it or not, my mons has always been "pudgy" even when I was at my goal weight, I have lost some weight "down there". I don't know my man doesn't seem to have a problem with it, so who knows...I would consider my journey about a third of the way there, who knows what I will want when its coming to an end!

I feel like I am "super sized" in that area, so I am thinking I will definitly check into it when PS becomes a realistic option for me. I am so self conscious about it, I would even do that over a boob job if I had to choose. Dh says it isn't as unusually large as I sem to think it is, but I have seen pics in magazines he has and I know mine doesn't look anything like that! I kinda relate mine to a Bassat Hound.

I am somewhat in agreement with LJM----personally it was a great improvement that come with the surgery.

I love not feeling conspicuous when I go out in public, and that part of my anatomy is not viewed in public!!! But in private, it is so totally worth the little extra surgery!!!

I just feel so much better since my TT, with mons lift in general--it took as much weight off my mind as it did my belly!

It's the latest fashion in porn, so I think a lot of people are doing it because they think it is sexy. Guys apparently get talked into shaving themselves because it makes them look bigger. I've only seen it once but I thought it made him look like a plucked turkey neck! EWW!!

OMG I just cackled!!! What a visual!

I think a good reason would be to get some of that excess fat away from your clitoris. I have noticed the the pudginess of my mons has made my clitoris harder to get at. Almost like the fat is swallowing up the clitoris. Now Ive lost some weight that isnt so bad anymore. That loss of unincombered pleasure is what I want.

This is why I love this website. I hadn't even thought of this. Of course, I've only lost a few pounds so far - getting banded on Wednesday. Actually, I never thought "fat girl" pubic areas were any different until my dear, considerate husband informed me of such.

THEN, I didn't even think about loosing weight there. If I do need a Tummy Tuck, then yes, I think I'd probably get that area done as well. Being able to easily get to my clit is VERY important to me. I hadn't really thought of the weight gain as getting in the way of pleasurable sex, but looking back I think it has. Looking forward to "getting at it" with no trouble.

BTW - My husband and I are in our 30's and we both trim/shave. It just makes oral sex so much easier. But I agreee with other posts that bald is itchy and uncomfortable - and requires a lot of maintenance, at least for me.

Sassy, most likely when you get toward the end your answer will be yes. But as I understand it, the lower body lift helps with this. Not sure if there are any other less invasive procedures that might help. I personally don't think I would need a total LBL, but wouldn't mind a little help down there.

When I had my TT just over 2 years ago, I didn't have it done. I don't regret not having it done. I guess I never put that much thought into it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
