Let's start a new thread that tracks our progress. It would be nice to see everyone on one list.

Let's use pounds lost to date and percent of total weight lost (what you lost divided by what you weighed at the start) and BMI. Doing the math will be good for us.

I did not know Kendra at all, except the very little bit of interaction when we first got banded. My friend Mindy (coltonwade) knew her pretty well. Her cancer journey was shockingly fast. It's very sad, but I do honestly believe it might be better that way....better than it lasting longer. Maybe she left this world with a little better esteem than she had before.

Bandpal, I understand how you're feeling. I'm running somewhere around 8-10 pounds from goal. I got a fill on December 11, and even after all this time, some days are better than others. I've even had my boyfriend threaten to not go out to restaurants with me anymore because he hates sitting alone while I run to the bathroom. It's weird...some days, I could eat a whole pizza, other days, swallowing a cracker too soon sends me over the edge. C'est la Vie, I suppose.

WHAT????? Oh My God, I had no idea. I'm looking through all the old posts now. Damn damn damn cancer.

I've reached a lifetime goal this morning! 100 lbs! I've hit a few bumps in the road with my band, but I couldn't have done this without it. :thumbup:

It's official. I have lost 100 lbs since my surgery. I have 10 lbs to lose to have a normal BMI. Wow what a change. :blushing:

Momto1plus1, Thanks to you too! As for Miamisburg, no, we don't live there, but we live pretty close in a city called Beavercreek, about 15 minutes up Highway 675.

Just as I expected, I lost another few pounds. Now I'm about 5 lbs away from my goal of 150, which would add up to a weight loss of 136 lbs since having been banded in November 2007.

Today I went to the beach with my wife and picked up a new bathing suit, a nifty little Speedo, size small. Wow, was that strange... That's the first size small anything I think I've ever bought for myself (besides athletic supporters, that is - actually, that's the only part of me which seems to have grown, but that's a story for another day). Now it's time to gear up for the final push - I'll keep you guys posted. Good luck, everyone!
