I'm not losing weight

Recommended Posts

I was banded on April 15,2008 and lost 15 lbs when I went in for my post-op check and I have gained the weight back. I am so mad at myself. I get my first fill on May 28, 2008 and then hopefully I will lose the weight.

Chilly,

I am with you! Just after surgery lost a few, and now gained them all back. I feel hungry all the time, just like before. I just want to eat eat eat at my desk. Fill is 5/31...hang in here with me, we WILL lose after the fill.

Hugs.

my daughter had her band put on Feb 8th 2008 and her 1st fill april 12 th. her 1st fill has made her band too tight now. she can't eat more than 2 bites of anything without feeling discomfort in her stomach. she was filled with the minimum 2 ccs of saline. i can say she has lost 32 pounds since her fill.

I was banded April 23, 2008. I lost 23 lbs from the beginning of the program to 1 week after surgery, then, nothing....My doctor told me that I might even gain during the healing time. But, I guess I have to have faith...Nothing has come off for about 3 1/2 weeks. THis is normal, right. It will change, right!! I need reassurement...:(

It's okay sweetie! Yes, your gonna start losing again. I think our bodies just need some time to catch up with the changes.

I hit a wall too, but I figured it was more important to have nutrition to encourage all the healing than to lose weight. I just got my first fill and the scale is starting to move again.

Hang in there. It's gonna be okay! PM if you'd like!

I'm 4wks post-op and I've lost 14lbs.36_1_34.gif Although the last 3 days I haven't lost an oz. I'm sticking to the three meals a day and try to stay at 4oz, sometimes I may go over by 1-2 oz's. I don't get my first fill until 6/9 ,hope the weight starts coming off again. The only thing I worry 4_6_200v.gifabout is that I'm going on a trip 9days after my fill for a few weeks so I hope I can adjust to the fill within those 9 days.23_33_7.gif Any suggestions would be appreciated. 16_2_26.gif

I'm really glad I read this. I got banded on April 29th and lost 15 pounds the first 10 days. Now I haven't lost anything. I don't get my first fill until June 2. I must admit I have been freaking out too. Thanks all!!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
