Goals...inspiration...dream outfit...etc...

Recommended Posts

I think it will be cool to post goal images, explanations, outfits, inspirations, etc...we are getting so close!

My inspiration and goal is to have the body of - Jordin Sparks!

I think she is absoulutely adorable and isn't stick thin! She modeled for my favorite store - Torrid. She is a size 12 and loves her curves!

And my dream outfit - size 12 (a 14, even!) designer jeans, a white t-shirt and peep toe pumps! :scared2:

OK - who's next? :blushing:

One of my goals is to get back in this outfit.

Another is to be able to climb the 74 stairs in the office parking lot without aching legs, heartbeat in my skull & puffing my lungs out.

Beautiful Brown, I LOVE that dress, and I agree, Jordin Sparks is a great figure to aspire to.

This is my dream outfit...I don't have to be the same size as this model, but this wedding dress has been a dream of mine for a while. As a 25 year old woman who has never been in a serious relationship, I like to think that this surgery will lead to me eventually getting married someday. And when I do, I'll definitely be smiling more than this model.

ditto to Jordin Sparks!

personaly I love kate winslet, and I love that she has curves! this dress is pretty stunning too! I'ed like to get down to a 12 or a 10...it would be nice to be able to put on my old prom dress!! (size 12 i think) I still want to keep my booty and chest though!

I want my old SCUBA gear to be too big! (Actually, I want to be able to look semi-decent in a BRAND NEW wetsuit! lol)

I want to look like Emme did back in her heyday as a "plus size" model. (I said it like that because she was a TWELVE back then!) Actually, I'll be happy when I can just shop off the plus size rack at Target again. I'll be supremely happy when I can shop in the regular sizes!!!

I have a bunch of goals-

1. Obviously a healthier lifestyle

2. I want my husband to not be able to keep his hands off of me!

3. There are a lot of moms from my kids school who are in excellent shape. I want to be looked at like they are looked at by them, their husbands, and their kids! Is that shallow?!?

4. I think being healthier will improve my work potential. More clients will want to use me.

5. I want to look hot for my 20 year reunion.

I know there are mor, but these are the most salient to me right now.

Good luck everyone.

BTW, I agree about Kate Winslet. She has a beautiful body.

My dream outfit? Well it is already in my closet, its a size 12 brown chinese silk button down sleeveless dress I wore to get married in. AND I have a floor length tuxedo gown (size 12 again) I want to get into and have it look smashing on me like it did when I first bought it. Thats all, nothing I have to go out to buy, just two dresses I absolutely adore and refuse REFUSE to put in the good will bin.

I love this thread. Since I was approved for surgery my "LIST" keeps running around in my head.

I too want to be a size 12/14 Misses. I want to keep my curves, but for the first time in my life I'd love to not have a tummy and a pooch. Two stomachs leaves me feeling kinda cowish. LOL

My goals:

1. Fit into an airplane seat comfortably!

2. Be able to sit in the middle seat without the arms of my fellow passengers resting on my fat rolls. God, I hate that.

3. At a restaurant be thrilled with sitting at a booth!

4. Button up and zippered jeans

5. Shopping in the Misses section at a department store (There are so many options for that size! Where does a person start?!)

6. Fit into this beautiful off-black and white Chiffon dress that has this great slit and my husband has never seen me in (I miss that dress!)

7. To feel comfortable wearing a tank top when it's hotter than blazes out (I love hoodies, but I'm so sick of wearing them to cover up, especially during those hot summer days!)

8. To like having my picture taken (There are so few photos of me in our house - bums my husband out)

9. No more double chin

10. To no longer be the biggest woman (or person for that matter) in the room

11. To be free of my high blood pressure, diabetes and thyroid medications once and for all

12. To be healthy and happy

13. Oh, and to be my husband's "Hot Wife". LOL I know that's stupid, but I'd just like to be the hot wife for once.

This was fun. I needed this goal refresher.

fluvia3.jpg I could be very happy with this body!

I would like a waist too. And to be able to get down on the floor with my students and not have to crawl to a chair to get up (actually happened)(more than once). I would like to go shopping and love, love, love what I try on. I would like to be able to wear a swim suit at the public pool and look at least half-way cute. I would like to walk up stairs and not feel like my lungs are going to burst because I am out of breath. But for now, I am going to settle for my dream hair-do. Getting it done next week hopefully. The rest will come.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
