Hi, fellow thirty-somethings =)

Hi there! I am posting in a few different groups here to see which ones I fit into best.

I was banded two days ago. I am looking forward to becoming healthy again!

80s,

Welcome & congrats on your surgery! I am about 5 1/2 months out from mine. There doesn't seem to be a lot of traffic here in the thirties. Maybe we can change that!

It is nice to meet you all! I am three days post-op and starting to feel a little better. I have had doubts that I could lose all of this weight because I seemed to be hungry at first, but I am learning how to manage liquids now and keep the hunger at bay. =)

I have also been checking the 30's thread on and off and haven't seen much activity. I am so glad to finally see some!

So anyway, :tongue_smilie: It's nice to meet you all! My name is Jessica and I was banded on 1/14/08, and so far I'm down 50 lbs! Congrats & good luck to everyone!

Hello all... I am scheduled for this coming Friday, April 25th in San Antonio. I can't wait! I've struggled with my weight since I was in my mid-20's so I am ready to make a permanent change!

Hello all! It's nice to meet you all. I was banded this past Wednesday. I'm feeling pretty good, soreness is better. The thing that is bothering me is the gas. It comes and goes. It gets better during the day because I'm up walking around and then at night settles again in my shoulders and chest. I really thought it would be gone by now. I haven't had any pain meds since Thursday or Friday. Motrin has been handling any pain I have. If I could just get rid of this gas, I'd feel great! Good luck to you guys coming up this week.

Hey 80's - We're neighbors! I'm in Fort Worth.

Take care all and keep in touch!

Just got banded last Friday myself. Technical question - how do you add the weight tracker? I've created 2 from 2 different sites, but can't figure out how to attach to my profile.......

The one I used had a code you could copy that said "for forum signatures" or something like that. It was just an html code I pasted in my signature.

I am so glad to see everyone posting! I really look forward to making some friends here.

I am in Arlington, TX. Lots of bandsters around here. :biggrin2:

Well, today is four days post op. I am still really sore. I bruised really bad. I mean, I bruise easily anyway, but these bruises are enormous. I am supposed to be putting ice packs on them. I am having a lot of pain at the port site. I am still taking pain meds, although a lot less. I do feel a lot better today. I have been able to get around fine, it's just this bruising that is making things a little more challenging.

Have any of ya'll noticed the amount of food commercials on TV? I have never really paid attention to them before. Now that I am on all liquids, all I SEE is food on TV! It's weird though, because I am not hungry when I see the Pizza Hut (my favorite) commercial, but when it is on my brain says, "PIZZA! EAT PIZZA!" I told my husband that I am starting to see that I was psychologically addicted to food. Those commericals are designed to get you to eat, even if you are not hungry! One could judge by the size of my hips and butt just how many times I have fallen for it.
