Hi, fellow thirty-somethings =)

Hi there! I am posting in a few different groups here to see which ones I fit into best.

I was banded two days ago. I am looking forward to becoming healthy again!

Hey Luluc! Your husband doesn't have any probs getting the bread part down? That's encouraging. Thanks for the recommendation.

Wow... there are a lot of us "Texans" around here. That's fun! I am in Kerrville, about 60 miles NW of San Antonio out I-10. I have surgery on Friday in San Antonio...

Luckily my pre-op diet allows me one meal a day. Without that I think I'd go nuts! I just like chewing! And of course, today they bring in a big box of donuts for staff meeting. They smelled so good. Amazing how much of our cravings are psychological isnt' it?

I can't wait to cross over to the banded life!

hello everyone. I LOVE the eighties......... I was banded 21st of March 08. I got my first fill yesterday. the clinic staff was telling me that this is the beginning of my journey...now I am anticipating the out come of my LB. I hope it works for me becuz I have tried EVERYTHING.

I hope this thread stays alive. :blushing:

You're "The Lady at The Top" and you've lost 160 pounds. You can be from anywhere you want to be!! YOu are such an inspiration to us all!!

ROTFL....thanks....I guess I am the all seeing eye up there right??

I hope to be able to help anyone who needs it, I got picked up plenty of times by LBT friends. :blushing:

All kidding aside. You were an inspiration to me far before you were "The Lady at The Top", but how cool was it to log on and see you there. I even think I want to be a pin up girl once I reach goal!!! I love the support here. I can often use a good kick in the butt to keep me going. Feel free to be brutally honest with me, and PLEASE, PLEASE, never let me be a whiny butt! Those are the only requests I have for my lady at the top keeping watch over me. LOL

I am not from Texas, but I have lived in Galveston and Wichita Falls. Is that ok??

Of course that counts!! Once you've lived in Texas you are always considered a Texan! It's the rule!

I have never lived in Texas but I like cowboys does that count hee hee.. Hi I am Tracy and I am from way across the states in good ole PA. Can't believe there are actually people chatting in the 30's forums now. I was banded on April 7th.. 2 weeks ago yesterday. Feeling great. Cant wait till Monday so I can go to regular foods wooohooo. Nice to see some other 30 somethings around

ohh and where are all the 30 something guys at or are there only 30 something chicks on this site lol

DH won't let me search for 30 something guys, but that's OK... I couldn't be happier with my 40 something man!

This does seem to be a mostly woman world... Maybe men just don't post in forums as often as women?? DH rarely gets on the computer... once a month or so to check email. He lets me pay the bills! :blushing:

Greetings from Houston. Day 4 post-surgery here. Have to fly to Dallas and back tomorrow, so will be sending happy thoughts to the DFW folks.

How often do you guys jump on the scale? I've been checking every day, but think I need to make myself only do it once a week. Not sure I can pull it off. I'm obsessed with it.

DO not weigh urself got atleast a week or so after surgery...u are full of IV fluids so u wont see much weight loss and it will depress ya.. Dont become obssessed with the scale. Do it once a week or so. Ohh and when ur monthly visitor comes to town u will probably go up a few pounds because most women bloat then so dont freak out about that either ok.. Just a forwarning lol

I am a 30 something mom of one from Denver Colorado. I just got my insurance approval yesterday, so we will be scheduling my surgery soon. Im so excited, but also really nervous. I have never had surgery before, and this is a life changing decision. Just wanted to stop by and say HI, so HI!!:tt2:
