I'm bad. I haven't actually finished mine yet. I have one more thing left to do. I need to go to my bank and see how much interest I earned last year, and then I can file. Next year? Gonna do them as soon as I get my forms in the mail, before I can lose the damned things like I do every other year. Of course, I said that LAST year, too, LMAO!

Ummm, Lauren, you DO know it's the 14th, right? :huh2: JK!!! I feel for ya. We had a snafu this year and not only didn't get filed by the end of Feb like normal BUT instead of e-filing, we had to send paper via mail. By the time we got it all figured out and ready to go, it's the weekend and I couldn't get to the PO before they closed on Sat at noon. Sooo, this AM I drag my DD with me and head to the PO to get the buggers out TODAY along with cert. mail/return receipt to make sure they get them and I've got proof! (I know it's no guarantee but they also can't say they never got them either!) So, you are totally NOT alone!!

I turned mine in on January 17th lol. Had my refund by Feb 1st. Now this of course has never ever happened before since I am a giant procrastinator.

Now as for DH's (we file seperatly) I will be finishing those up today lmao. I have the federal done but still have to finish the state.

Speaking of 06 taxes, I had apparently forgotten something on mine and the IRS sent me this worksheet to fix it. This was back in like Nov. or somthing. Well I got the check yesterday and apparently it was a larger mistake than I expected because the check was for $700!!!!!

I heart tax refunds.

Well, hell. If I'd known it would take only a few minutes to do everything, I'd have slept longer this morning. Oh, well. I got everything filed and taxes paid and everything.

I'm getting a return from the state, but not from federal. I get to pay them $127, so by the time I add everything up, I'm only getting back about $80.

I have to amend mine by today. yikes

I'm probably going to have to amend my 2007 return next year, since I had surgery and everything in 2007. I waited too long this year to try and dig up my medical bills and crap, so I just didn't claim them.

This year we actually got a little bit back, usually we don't or we have to pay back... so this year I did it right away... otherwise I wait also till the last minute.... so you are not alone dear...

We just finished 2006 and will file an extension for 2007. I still have some numbers to find for it and I can't get to it today.

Getting the 2006 out is a HUGE step though. There was a time there I thought I'd have rob my (ex) accountant's house to get my records back.

This is actually the first year I have been prepared in January. With my surgery, the twin's oral surgeries along with various medical expenses, premiums, ect. I knew that for once we would be able to claim something for the medical expenses. We got some back and I think I will put someof it away for my TT that I want.

I'm actually looking forward to paying taxes next year, as I'll have mucho deductions for medical expenses, between my surgery (self-pay) and its related expenses and about $4000 in unexpected dental work (no dental insurance), along with a couple thousand worth of other minor medical issues. Of course, I have to go through the pain of actually laying out those expenses first, but it makes me feel a tiny bit better to know that I should be getting back several thousand next year.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
