How You know you need an adjustment...

Recommended Posts

I received my Nutrition guidelines... and it states that the normal time u should be adjusted is about 5-8 weeks after the sugery. I quote it says the following reasons may be an indication that you need a band adjustment.

1. You feel like you are making healthy food choices in appropriate portion sizes but are getting hungry between meals.

2. You can still eat white bread, fibrous vegetables, and large portion Greater than 2-cups

3. You have to struggle to lose weight.

4. You are gaining weight in spite of making healthy food choices, exercising, and being positive.

I get my first fill in two weeks and I feel so much like I don't need it. I get full so fast, stay full for a long time (4-5 hours) and I am loosing a pound a day.

So, I'm saying, you need a fill if you're not loosing weight. If you're loosing weight, save the fill for later.

Well that pretty much sums it up for me!! I have had 4 fills so far (5cc band) and I am definitely making healthy food choices!! I am exercising 4 days per week and the scale it STUCK!!! I am feeling very discouraged...like I could have done this without surgery!!!

I have only lost 28lbs since May 1st!!!

I will remain positive, but it's not easy!!!

Don't get a fill if you are losing and are happy at the rate that you are losing.... A pound a day sounds like a LOT!!!!!

I knew I needed a fill when I could eat more than my normal eating without any signs of being full. I have not had a fill in over a year. My doctor never told me how often I would need a fill. He is very expensive, $400.00. I believe you can have a fill at the hospital also.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
