I've noticed in a couple of posts that you seem down and out about your band. I don't blame you a bit-- you've gone through so much. You've earned every single pound that you've lost and then some.

I just wanted to let you know I was thinking of you and I hope that you feel better soon.

Sorry, Paula, but I called Ms. September first! Daisy, you're cracking me up. I guess I gotta pose nakey on my Harley then! In the middle of the desert.

I call March! No idea what I would hide behind, but that's ok. We'll figure something out. LOL

I take Awesome photos, will be happy to help out:nervous :rolleyes - & have zero problems w/the nudes- all tastefully done of course. Hidden scarfs there a flower pot or two there. So when in vegas--we can all make $$ for Lisa's port!!!!

Lisa- If you can with all you've been through just hang on for a bit more. AS every week passes the chances of a new Doctor moving in your area increases & with time you never know what can happen. AS long as the problems don't continue to worsen just stay as you are till finances change & than get your port. If you end up removing your band you'll be back to sq one. If it just stays in & doesn't hurt you your chances of correcting the situation may be closer than you think. Either way I support your decision - but hope you can keep it. Stay positive!

Christina, I needed to hear that. I always hope for new doctors in Vegas. Today I got stung by my own bee! A Vegas friend has been really interested in my Band, and she's finally going for it. Only she has the money and she's getting hers done by the local doctor! I am really happy for her, but I can't help but feeling a little burn that she gets to stay local. Not exactly jealous... just a little pale mint green maybe. I need to stop focusing on it. That's what I need.

Okay, we have the photographer, now who's going to volunteer to market this thing? You guys probably think I'm kidding, but I would pose nude (after a bottle of wine) as long as hubby does't have a cow!

OK_ I must have January. Because I was born on New years day!:0) I have already posed & done the nude thing. It was for a few artists when I was in the gallery business. I have two original pieces that I LOVE!! The other 5 actually sold in Miami FLA for $1500.00 each!!! Can you believe it!

We need to have SCOTTY market this over in the UK. That way know one will care if it sells & if it bombs no one will know:0)

Hey if I can be in a hot tub with a full Los Angeles film crew complete with a sound person in the bathroom with me when I was at my heaviest, I can do a nude calendar. And I am so completely serious.

I've been thinking about you all day Lisa...and trying to put myself in your position but I just don't think I really understand everything you've gone through. I just hate the idea of you without a band...sure, your results haven't probably been what you expected by now (mine sure aren't and I have a port and no teethmark scar, even). But you still are a success in my book, and from everyone else's comments here, in their's too. I just think if you can get over this rough patch you'll be see the silver lining. You still have a band that restricts you. You aren't gaining weight back. You have some control over your eating. You fit into smaller clothes and get new attention from strangers. You've proven to yourself- and us- how strong you can be when you need to be. I wonder if you've had to be so strong for so long that it's time to take some time to grieve and rest and be sad. I would think it would be perfectly normal at this point.

You'll get through this and your story will inspire those who are just starting out, and those of us who have ports that need moving, tubing that leaks, or a band that is tough to adjust.

I hope you've seen by this thread that you are a very well supported friend to a lot of pretty nice folks.
