Hi, I was banded April 5 and am back to work this morning. Had some problems with nausea but got through it with the great people at the Provo Surgical Center and Dr. McKeen. I am so happy. it looks like I am losing about 1 pound a day, I am still on liguids and doing great.

Got my date for sure, April 28th !!! I am ready to go, it's the 9 day liquid that is scarry. I have a lot of support at work, that's the hard place. I tell everyone their drinking with me. I'm sure I won't be too nice those 9 days.

Brenda, Im going to get the band on April 28th too.. Good Luck with everything.

Wow 9days of liquids... I just have to do 7days two days is a lot of days LOL

Take Care

I'm counting down the last 2 days before liquids. My parents are in the process of moving to our small town, mom is a stoke patient and dad needs help. Mom was scheduled for gastric when she stroked. Being with her gives me power in my banding decision. Just dont know about the drama during the liquid stage. Any suggestions on sympathy liquids? possibly to make the time seem not soooo long?

God morning all! I have 3 days left until I enter bandland. I could not sleep well last night and I'm so tried of liquids!!!!! I found that if I mix my french vanilla optifast with diet sunkist it tastes great! I hope I can sleep the next couple of nights. Can't wait to compare stories with the rest of you after Thursday. Good luck to all and I better take a deep breath. See ya!!!

You Guys Are Doing Really Well But Don't Forget You Will Be On Liquids For Sometime After The Band.so Don't Think It Is An End Piont It Is Really The Start .you Have Been In Training For The Real Thing.good On Ya...best Of Luck To Those Whom Will Be Banded In The Near Future.

Hi April Bandsters. I was banded on 4/5/05, by Dr. Rodrigues in Monterrey, Mexico. Guess I've had it a little easier than most, since Dr. Rodrigues doesn't require a liquid diet befor surgery. After surgery he has you do one week of liquids, than one week of mushies, than on to regular food. Tomarrow I'm on the regular food. Yippie! So far I'm down 25lbs.. I'm sure that is do to the liquid part of the surgery. No problem with PBing yet. Thank God! For those about to have surgery, good luck. If ya need any personal support just let me know. My biggest milestone, at two weeks post-op, is that I can now turn on my side to sleep. It was getting pretty annoying sleeping only on my back (propped up on pillows). Good Luck to everyone.

Thanks rsduhe I had wonder about the sleeping on the tummy.I naturally thought it might be uncomfortable, abit like imagening when your a kid that boobs would get in the way. However with the port it is embedded in deeply so I had hope I would still be able to sleep on my tummy.this question was going to the next threat for me.Many thanks
