Hello everyone, sorry I was mia there for a bit. Well I am still down my 5 pounds I saw -6 but that didnt last long, I think I need another fill... but who knows when I will be able to make it to CO. Aug 31st is my 1 year with my new band. so a total of 2 years and 4 months being banded. Geeeez... 75 pounds lost and my hopes are still up. thats got to count for something. I hope everyone else is doing well with thier weight loss Connie - great see to see you! And Please if you are in Alb contact me and we will get together. Last time I went to see him, I had not seen him in almost 6 months, he got so excited to see me... I guess I cant stay away for to long LOL Anyway I still get the stuffy nose feeling when I eat and I knoticed I am eating more and more... then some days I cant eat anything at all. Hmmmmm thats why I named my band Fickles lol And look at you down 21 pounds!! Girl that is AWESOME!!! Keep up the good work!!!! Well everyone talk to you soon... Keep Losing!!!!

Hi Michelle, I think 18 pounds in 2 months are good, I think losing a little slower just might be better. I am happy with my 5 pounds, I want to see 6 pounds though... thats all my goal is, one pound at a time. So far to date from April 2005 I have lost a total 75 pounds. and My 1 year is coming up on the 31st with my new band, and I think it will be a total of 15 pounds... but I am not going to let my self get discouraged because I know my band is there I can feel it. I just need to go that extra mile now, like exsercise... lol oh no thats another story LOL. Good job with your weight loss though! you might think it is slow but you are still losing and not gaining! woohoo!

Hello everyone! well it has been a month since my fill. I have lost 5 pounds which I dont think it to much, but I know I am losing inches, that is what is keeping me hopeful. The only problem I am having, and please let me know if any of you been through this, is that everytime I eat I get a bad stuffy nose. I know it sounds weird but It gross have to blow my nose every so offten during dinner. Ewwww lol It doesnt bother me I just think it is werid. Hope everyone is doing good

Sorry I cant help you either, I dont think I even heard of the midband. I travel from Alb. to Pueblo Co. I have only heard of my Dr. working with the Lapband, but if you want his information just PM me and I will send it to you. Good Luck with everything, I would hate to have to travel to Mexico everytime I needed a fill...

Well I am back, Dr. Smith was so happy to see me, since it has been 8 months, I think I got them all worried. But GREAT news...... 8months ago he put in .6cc's and now when he pulled out what I he had put in... it was the .6cc's WOW that has never happen to me before we were all so excited. Well he put in another .6 making it 1.2cc's and I went to go eat and nothing... no restricion... so I called back and went back in and he added .8 making it an even 2cc's and MAN can I feel it... for the first time ever I feel my band.... after two years I think I love my band again! I am ready to lose another 70lbs!!!!!! Connie, please let me know when you are in ALB I would love to do something, even if it is meeting at my place for a cup of coffee. I look forward to meeting you. Michelle, I am so gald that they worked with you on getting that fill. having restriction feels so good doesnt it... Good Luck with everything.. and together.. we will make this new restriction work for us!

So I am going to be in Colorado on July 3rd. I have an appt. with Dr. Smith at 2:00 on the 3rd and I will be staying the night and heading back to Alb, on the 4th... So its probably a bad time for anyone to get together huh.... This was the only time I could get so soon, unless I waited until Aug. I really dont want to wait. I cant wait to get my fill!

Thanks Connie. I really do hope a fill will help me out, I have only had 2 fills (in one weekend of course) with my new band so that might be it. I had not been able to get out to CO any sooner because AOL closed down so my husband had to find another job, well with that was not the best hours or days off... So I am thinking it will be a nice trip in July, and they said if I call early enough they can get me in on almost any day it doesnt have to be Monday. So that is good. I have only lost 70 pounds which I am very disapointed, but I have not gained any even though I am eatting tons of food.. LOL so I guess thats good. Well I hope you all CO's are having a good day!

Connie ~ Oh that would of been great if you were out here. I have not gotten a fill since Nov.... I think..... I am planning to be out there in July, hubby and I are going to make a Vaction out of it so we will be there a few days. I will let you know when for sure I would love to get together. So as you knoticed I have not been on LBT in so long, but I think I need the support again, I have lost all hope in my band life... and I want to get back in. I am not ready to hit the big boards so I will hang out in here for a bit... hope you all dont mind a New Mexican joining you all!

Hello, everyone.... I am still here.. Trying as always and aways.. I am still having problems, but trying my hardest to make the best of it all. I think I need a fill..... I heard "one" time that it takes 2-3 maybe 4 fills to hit THAT sweet spot... well even thought I have been banded almost 2 years and I have only have had 1 maybe 2 fills after my new band I need to go back to the fact that it can take 3 - 4 fills to hit that "sweet" spot... so I am waiting and I have not givin up yet.. It has been It has been 20 months since I had the band.. I have lost over 70 pounds.. I am waiting to lose more..I know 70 pounds is good, but a start of 341 pounds, and almost 2 years... is not good, but.. my problems and mayjor complications I guess 70 is really good.... I envy everyone out there that started with me, and has already past me... Love ya!!! I have been with LBT since Dec. of 2004... and I will always be here even if I dont talk much, I am here... Love ya all!!!!!! Thanks for listen to me vent!

Yeah A fill Dr. here would really be helpful, its wonderful to see so many people in the Alb. area with a band. Right now I need a fill so bad. and I have to wait until spring, I will not travel to CO in this type of weather. I would pay 300.. that wouls actually save me, i spend at lest 500 for the trip, the Dr. visit, food, hotel... yeah it would surely save me money.

Awwww Kat, you will be missed. Maybe you can plan to make the next meeting. Here is a note from the lady who is holding the Support Group this week There are already about 5 people that I know who are going to be there. I hope some from here will be able to make it. Well there is a Nurse Practioner who is trying to get certified to do the fills here in Rio Rancho and she has had some Obesity help Training about lap-band and other weight loss surgery about how to start a group and get some materials and starting a website and etc, she sounded very nice and wants to help!

Anyone up to meet on Dec. 2nd for a support gropu meeting? One of the girls i meet last time Janet wants to have it at her house. So if I can get a head count then I can send out the address. It will be Dec. 2, at 3:00pm

I will do anything to help start one up too. I have been banded for 18 months total, but on my 2nd band.... I have lots of experience of good and bad times. And I am still learning.

I really dont think there is Lapband anything in New Mexico... I travel to Pueblo, CO for everything.

congrats on the new baby. I know that it can be hard getting back on track with bandster rules. maybe if you start recording everything you are eating that will help. Did you get a fill after having the baby? or if not are you thinking about getting one? Well I hope things work out for you soon!

Hey everyone I am finally home!!! oh its so nice to be home again. The ride home was a little rough but I pulled through. I have shoulder pain like you wouldnt belive, my left shoulder has been hurtting my since Friday, It hurts to breathe, cough or even move it. I can not lay down on the bed because of my shoulder. I have not been able to sleep in 3 days I doze off for 30 min or so on and off... I might get 2 hours of napping in one night. I feel I am going crazy!!! Anyway I got my Staples out today and they up steri-strips look pretty funny being i have the long 9 incher running from my chest down my tummy. I am still bloated, and its hard for me to even get a protien shake down... I try to water it down as much as I can. Well I am hanging in there and I hope everyday will get better... the first time was so much easier
