Bronchitis & Post-Nasal Drip

Recommended Posts

Has anyone else had a problem with this? I have a really bad case of bronchitis that just won't seem to go away. With it I have had a ton of post-nasal drippage (gross I know, sorry). It tends to go down the back of my throat and it was getting really backed up in my stomach. I felt like I had something stuck when I hadn't eaten for 2 days since I had just had a fill. I had to go in to my doctors office in a shaky panic to get 4cc's removed. I'm super bummed because I have had a lot of adjustments to get to a good spot and start really loosing. I guess I'm just frustrated. They said to come back in when I am feeling better and get the Fluid put back in. I guess I'm just venting really. Has this happend to anyone else?

Yikes, that's awful, an unfill due to being sick. Hadn't heard of that happening before. I've had a nagging cough for over a week, along with a rattle in my chest, which is a pain in itself, but to have to be unfilled, poor baby!

Hugs!

It sounds like you might need an antibiotic. If the color of the mucus is not clear, you should see am MD for a culture. I hope you feel better soon.

Ok, dont laugh give this a try. rub Vicks vaporub on your chest, neck and back. It really works. My mother rubbed on me when I was a kid, I used it on my kids, and even my grandbabies get rubdowns. message it onto the skin, it not only sooths a cough but helps with pain. I promise it will work.

I usually have a hard time being a little tight when I'm congested but I can usually work through it. Never had to have an unfill from it though. Sorry to hear it got that bad.

I am finishing up my masters in education and I'm around little kids all the time. I have to constantly remind them to cover their mouths, use a tissue and to wash their hands. A few days ago a little boy sneezed right into my face as I was trying to help him. Needless to say I have been sick off and on for the last 2 months.

I have had the same problem with having so much post nasal drip that eating is hard. I have been sticking to liquids and mushies trying to ride it out. I think I am getting a good amount of nutrients, but it is hard.

Sorry that you had to have a complete unfill !

I just got over Bronchitis myself...I went right to the doctor and had him give me some medicine (we're going on a cruise next week for my sister's wedding). I have a little post-nasal drip still, but it's slowly going away. It hasn't bothered my eating...oddly enough. Though when I was sick last weekend, I lost a few pounds from not eating a lot!

Hope you feel better soon!

I have had chronic bronchitis since 2001 and lately it has gotten worse . After much research I found out it is due to my chronic post nasal drip .

visit Asthma cure research relating asthma to bacteria Chlamydia pneumoniae and mycoplasma after experiencing a near fatal asthma attack- Main

and complete azithromycin course as given there. I completed the 5 day course and then took 500mg of azithromycin every week for 4 weeks and it solved the problem . I have heard grape seed extract works miracle for post nasal drip . Do the antibiotic course first . I know of an ayurvedic formula made with mild peppers which is very effective in drying up the watery phelgm .. me too drowing in my post nasal drip for several years now...my stomach would too fill up with Fluid and i could not eat for 3-4 days . pls contact me asap my email joymukherji2001@yahoo.com

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
