I am not able to eat the regular or thick crust. But I have no problem with thin crust pizza, as long as I eat slow and carefully. I can eat one piece and sometimes 1 1/2 pieces of Papa John's thin crust pizza.

I can eat pizza. Like most take away food though, its hard work, slow going and done with extreme caution. It blocks me up easily. Over time, I've come to really not want it any more, not that I ever liked pizza all that much.

A thin crust gourmet woodfired pizza is much easier to handle than a disgusting fat slice of cheese crust pizza hut garbage, trust me, you'll look at stuff like that one day and just think "that is revolting". You will go into McDonalds and look at the menu and think "I just cannot be bothered".

But it happens over time and you get to give up these things gradually, so that it really doesnt hurt like you thought it would and you dont even miss them.

Jachut, McDonalds is truly revolting to me now. I used to practically live on their fries. Now, I can't even stand the smell of them. I may as well poor some grease in a glass and lick it up as eat a french fry!

I am 4 months post op and the crust of pizza doesn't agree with me. I actually went to a pizza place tonight with my family for dinner and I take all of the toppings off of the pizza and eat them. I make sure the pizza is full of veggies or I order the BBQ chicken pizza because the toppings without the crust are filling. I agree any fast food to me is just not worth it!

Yes. Life without pizza would be no life at all, as far as I'm concerned. I don't have it often, because it isn't the best weight loss food. (I haven't had it yet, actually) I would probably go for the thin crust and be really careful but I'm going to give it a try once I'm closer to goal weight.

Once in a blue moon I'll get a small personal pan thin crust pizza from the deli--but my problem is I get full on one slice--so I either have to have it four days in a row or throw some of it away. Usually it's the latter because one piece will really satiate my hunger for pizza!! :)

I am 13 months out and I cannot eat pizza. Initially I could but after fill #2 that changed. Occasionally I can eat the the thin crust store bought only ones but no to Pizza Hut and all the others. All I can eat now is the toppings. No breadsticks either.

I can eat pizza---just not half a pizza by myself anymore!!!

Thin crust is easy----pan crust a slower more careful thing. When my granddaughter who is 3 wants pizza---I order a personal pan size...we share, and still have leftovers!!

We go to a little family run pizza place, and the crust is not quite so dough-y. If we go in, I can even ask for it extra crispy. I even have my DH liking it extra crisp!!!

The one thing I have problems with is some of the sausage---scare ya? Don't let it, it didn't agree with me pre band!!! Just trying to shake ya up a bit!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
