Hi Wishfull! I'm booked for 23rd January. You had a breast reduction already? I had a Tummy Tuck about 6 years ago. Don't you hate the thought of going through breast surgery again? I know I'm sure hoping that I won't need another tuck!:tongue2:-Tammy

Hi wishfull. I'm glad your reduction went so smoothly. My tummy tuck...the doc tightened my muscles, so every sneeze, cough and laugh brought the pillow in tight to my abs and tears to my eyes. Of course my kids were at their funniest then. I could only get out of bed by rolling over onto my stomach and scooting so my feet were hanging off the bed and onto the floor and standing up that way. I guess it only lasted about a week, but what a week. I didn't have enough excess skin to need a new belly button, so he just pulled the skin down and sewed me up. My belly button is a little lower than normal, but doesn't bother me, it's not like I wear a bikini or anything. My scar is hip to hip, but down low flat and faded. About 11 months later I had Lipo and that was probably more painful because it covered a larger area. Don't get me wrong, I would do it again, but hope it won't be needed.-T

Hey folks,

I'm being banded by Dr Chris on 23rd December.

I went to the bank the other day to get my Euros and the reality has finally hit me. I'm nervous but also dead excited.

I can't believe that I'm on my way to a slimmer future, cause I've always been a fattie.

Will let you know how I get on.

Hi everyone, this is user 'gillian's older sister and we are both travelling together for banding on 16th Jan. She has bullied me into joining the forum and not just reading it - she thinks that is 'cheating'! Good luck to all going shortly for their band (miss flump and anyone else). Will see wishfull in Belgium as you are booked in for same date I believe?

I am hoping to pay by some sort of alternative rather than risk carrying that amount of cash around. I have e-mailed Bridget to enquire whether a bankers draft would be acceptable if a personal cheque or card payment is no go but have not had a reply yet. Anyone else paid in anything other than cash?

Morrisons??!! How very dare you! It would be M&S or Waitrose and well you know it! If I said I was going to Morrisons he would be suspicious....Yes, big final blow out starts on Saturday at middleslimsister's birthday bash. Will have to cancel my birthday on 1st Feb though as we will only be 2 weeks on and doubt we'll be tackling a 3 courser?!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
