Morrisons??!! How very dare you! It would be M&S or Waitrose and well you know it! If I said I was going to Morrisons he would be suspicious....Yes, big final blow out starts on Saturday at middleslimsister's birthday bash. Will have to cancel my birthday on 1st Feb though as we will only be 2 weeks on and doubt we'll be tackling a 3 courser?!

Hark at her Wishfull?, she thinks shes good dont she?!. she will have to have a vicky pollard or waynetta slob jogging suit on like us...only thing shell get hers from juicy couture or summat! (or at least M&S). I have got mine already off the market..I am going to look stunning on my reveal day!!

sorry bigsister I should know better! Youll be having not just a band....but a bestest silicone and quality belgian plastic finest gastric band?! ha!..Ill just have a yellow Netto one. it'll be R8!.

Yes, it will be an all butter gastric band covered in the finest Belgian chocolate (from the 'be good to yourself' range of course!) I have been measured up for my highly superior post op jogging outfit by Armani (which comes with a matching chihauha) at considerable cost. Please do not acknowledge me in Belgium donning your Vicky Pollard outfit, I will deny any family connections!

Well I was hoping to be in a size 10 bikini for the journey home. It will be a full 2 days post banding after all! Think possibly sister gillian was lying when she insisted you lost at least 4 stones in the first 24 hours!

Hi TanyaC. It would be good if you could find someone on forum going on same date - when is it? If not then I'm sure everyone being banded on same day supports each other. I wouldn't be worried about going on my own, but obviously feel better about going with littlesister (gillian). Looking forward to hearing from the people who have been recently.

im really hoping for around march/april time. how come you not told your fella yet bigsister? what will he say when he finds out? has anyones other half said that they really dont want them to do it for whatever reason i.e cant afford it, insecurity??????

bigsis im surell ill find someone but hoping that my fella will be there with me all the way so in a way wont be alone.

does anyone know what its like after being banded, drinking? can you still drink alcohol? does it effect you more quickly? do they recommend you stay off it? there is never anything on the internet about drinking?

Take care girlies

ALCOHOL!!..yes you can still have it but think it will affect you more quickly..just like when you drink on an empty stomach suppose?..but a woman i work with who was banded in july, still drinks her gin and tonics but slower and she stirs it around with a straw and adds a little pich of sugar from a sachet in her bag....as fizzy drinks can repeat like mad and hurt a bit as they go down..if you like wine and spirits your fine..just watch the fizzy drinks she reckons!..I shall test this theory out well after i have been banded myself, and report back my findings...all in the name of research obviously! x

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
