I think that it is amazing that you work out, whatever you can. Some people never work out and complain that the band is not working for them.

Yeah that is one of the reasons I am spending so much time in the gym. I want this thing to not only work for me. But I want my body to tone up as I lose weight.

I was banded on 12/19 I bought a treadmill been using it, but I need to tone my stomach and my arms bad so I took the first step and called to set up an appointment(they will go thru all the equipment and set up on excises for a good workout on your problem areas) today for a wellness center, I go next tuesday at 4pm want to go at least 3 times a week. I am down 27 pds so I am happy about that.

Good for both of you with making the commitment to the gym.

What works for me is non food rewards.

Every 2 weeks I go to the gym 10 times I get a reward. Like a pedicure, Or a day at the movies, One of my rewards is a paid sesion with a trainer. Those kind of rewards work great for me.

Good luck and keep up the good work.

I started working out 3 times per week with a personal trainer. He comes to my house and brings all the equipment with him. I no longer have an excuse. Any aerobic exercise I do on top of this (eg. walking, biking, swimming, eliptical, etc.) is just a bonus.

He is really working my abs and even those lower abs that give such a big problem. I really see the difference. My weight loss has been good but the inches I have lost are amazing. I lost 2 inches off my abdominal area in just the first month.

I live in the Toronto, Canada area and would be happy to pass his contact info to anyone who wants it. Just message or e-mail me.

I'm a lucky lady.

WEll I did it I went for my orientation last night and I went to night for my first work out, I went from 6-7pm and I loved it only 2 other ppl there so all the equipment you didn't have to fight over or "wait" for I mean lol. then when I got done there I came home and walked 45 mins on my treadmill.

In case anyone is interested the trainer yesterday told me it is better to walk slower if you have to but work up to 45 mins no matter what speed b/c he said when you walk 45 mins your body keeps burning calories even after you stop walking. I was walking a 20 min mile but slowed it done just a very little and did 45 min tonight. I just thought it was interesting and very helpful information.

That is good to know. I have been pushing my self for distance. Not time.

OK well time too. But more distance.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
