Oh and Judy you mentioned this the other day and I forgot to comment on it. I was so dissapointed to hear about John Edwards too. Ugh, what he did was even more repugnant because his wife was so sick during this whole time. Why do men do this?? They have beautiful, successful women at home who are wonderful mothers to their children. I know it can't all be about sex. There is no way that you would risk your family, career, reputation on a good piece of ass...

Hey All~

The pap got rescheduled cause she had to deliver twins...I guess they are more important than my routine pap. Well, I got 2 done! I had labs last week, and my cholesterol was 127!!! The doc said that was great! Last year I was at 280~wow...that is huge difference.

The mammo hurt...whats new. The lady WONT SHUT UP THE ENTIRE TIME. I've had her for a few years and everytime is the same thing. I am serious...literally wont shut up. Sad actually, I think she is lonely. It is not a give and take conversation...you can't get a word in edge wise.

Well, I am having bob and steph over for taco tuesday (too lazy to cap) later. So, piehole report will not be forthcoming!

Oh yeah...I really like the book Shrink Yourself. I want to type something later for ya'll. Jane and Terri...are you guys reading it yet? I am reading it really slowly and actually re reading sections. This is some good stuff and I need to process and reflect on it.

I just had my hair cut...... up to my neck.... Robby said.. OH mom dad is going to be SOOOO mad, you might want to hide when he comes home, but I think its beautiful! the stylist laughed and then said awwwwe you so sweet!

We have all the boys this week too and Josh the 8 year old just got kicked out of the babysitter.... I had to go get him.. and drop him with the other two at the house....Charles is MIA because he is in the process of getting his new work phone.. so out of luck getting him. I was NOT happy! My mom also has her 2 hour breast specialist appointment today at KU Breast Cancer Institute... I was all set to go, but she really didn't want Robby worrying about her so I'm hanging at my sisters and we are waiting for word........ Staying at my sisters again tonight and will talk to DH on the phone later.. he is going to flip his lid about my hair, but the entire fight over my impending hair cut was ridiculous.... and now its done.

LOL TracyK~ I can't smell ya from here! I'll send ya one after this post!

TracyKS~ HELL FREAKIN YEAH GIRLFRIEND! I bet your hair looks smashing (and yes, I wanna see a pix...we all do). Sorry, can I say this....fuck him and the horse he rode in on. I am soooooo glad you cut your hair! I hate it when women lose themselves in relationships. Me, I'd rather lose myself in food, lol! I am sooo freakin proud of you...sending you a high five from California!xoxoxoxo

Speaking of which, I wanted to post something I read, and then re-read today. Powerful stuff from Shrink Yourself: Break Free from Emotional Eating Forever:

"Many people report to me that as they're approaching their goal weight they often saotage themselves and all of their efforts. They wonder why that is. It doesn't seem to make any sense. In fact, you may be able to relate to that experience. The answer, time and again, proves to be simple: if you didn't have your weight to think about your might have to think about what's really bothering you, and that's very frightening. It's frightening because I know that you feel powerless to change the things that really bother you. You've made what I call the "unexamined powerlessness conclusion." It's a conclusion that you're powerless over your feelings and the circumstances in your life that the feelings point toward, so you might as well eat." (Gould, Roger 2007)

I know so many of my violets are successful...but for me (and maybe a few of you) this speaks volumes. Somehow, it is like I don't even wanna lose the weight. Not on a level where I recognize it...just on a level that is deeper than me and my mind. Anyhoo...wanted to share.

Gonna chill before I make tacos...oy!!

Hey TracyK~ I just sent you a Facebook email. Since I joined, I've connected w/ a dear friend from high school, friends we met when we were in Fiji, a couple of Violets, friends I used to work with, etc. Kinda fun, and I really don't know all the site offers yet, and once school starts I won't have much time...but it is fun!

xooxxo I'll look for you!

I only am on page 30. It really is not something you can or would want to whip through. Even 30 pages in...I've been effected by what I am reading! Enjoy!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
