I love it. And it must feel so good to know that you had that moment where you ALMOST slipped but you didn’t!! You were in control. Now maybe you should reward yourself with a small non food reward f

Thank you for this, great question, and one I will ask myself when I start reaching for food I don't need and ultimately don't want to eat.

I, like you, used to stress eat. I now live by the mantra that nothing tastes as good as STRONG feels and that when the weight of the world gets heavy…squat that ****. Nothing makes me feel better tha
I think I had a breakthrough
A few weeks ago, I had a very shitty night at my 2nd job, I was running late, machines where breaking down, at one point, my whole system crashed and I had to do my lab work manually, all in all, I was very frustrated when I finally got off around 11:30pm
In my frustration I was like "Damn, I need a pick me up, I should stop by for a chicken sandwich and fries, I've eared it with the day I've been having, screw if it's past 9pm and I shouldn't eat this late"
but then my own brain asked me a question: "That is what the old you would do, what is the new you going to do?"
and I actually answered myself "The new me will take a deep breath and go home"
And that's what I did, I got home around midnight, drank about half a bottle of my protein drink, took a shower and went to bed
I'm only sharing this, because ever since then, when I feel like I want to eat because of frustration, anger, boredom, I just ask myself, "What is the new you going to do?" and somehow that is enough to pull me from my funk and make my health a priority again.
