Vitamin patches vs. Pills

Does anyone feel like the vitamin patches are not as potent as the pills? I had read that the trim pills helped curb your appetite but I wanted the ease of the patches but I honestly feel nothing from them.

there was a lot of conversation on here about those when they first came out a few years ago. It seems they work for some people, but not for others. I never tried them because I figured I'd be one

Do you mean for pre or post op?

Post op I think, and your medical team can confirm with you, that you need the pills as they absorb better and are more potent into the system when it is needed most.

I use the patches! My 6 month check up is coming up in May so I will be having all of my levels checked! I will keep all of you posted

I never tried them because I figured I'd be one of the people they wouldn't work for. I've considered getting them for traveling, though, so I don't have to lug a bunch of bottles around. Even if they didn't really work for me, four or five days or even a week without getting adequate vitamins probably wouldn't really matter - esp since I'm only away from home that long maybe once or twice a year.

I thought the same and my doctor told me that for the first few months he would be happier for me to take the pills to be sure until I was through the food phases etc. that I was getting enough vitamins.

At times he sounds like a sales rep for the bariatric branded vitamins, which I don't get through him so makes no difference to him, but of course they are about three times the price here of non-bariatric ones.

My blood tests so far have all show high vitamin levels (other than K) so now I am just down to one multi vit a day plus calcium & D2, then I add in a cod liver one as I can't eat fish. It's exhausting remembering to take them all on top of a daily reflux pill plus HRT!

I’ve used vitamin patches for a while, and the experience can be different for everyone. For me, the patches felt gentler compared to pills. Pills usually hit faster because you swallow them directly, but patches work slowly through the skin, so the effect can take more time or feel lighter.

I personally like VytaDose patches because they’re easy on the stomach and convenient, but I also noticed that some nutrients feel stronger when taken as pills. It really depends on your body and what you’re expecting from them. You might need to use the patches consistently for a few weeks to notice a difference.
