I like roasted edamame as a vegetarian Protein snack. Not sure if they sell it on BariatricPal, but I know they have a variety of roasted Beans and most of them are pretty tasty done that way. I also like the Quest protein chips in the sweet chili flavor, they are vegetarian though not vegan.

My favorite vegetarian protein sources are tofu in all its forms (I married a Chinese person so I am quite familiar with the many forms of tofu!), as well as beans, and I like products with wheat gluten. Tempeh is nice too and certainly high in fiber.

My favorite vegan shake is the ones made by Four Sigmatics. They have medicinal mushrooms in them, though you don't taste them. The plant protein sources are really nice and the shakes actually taste great, especially the Peanut Butter one!! OMG I don't use them now because I actually need whey protein isolate with the DS surgery, but they were nice in years past and give a great energy boost thanks to the medicinal mushrooms.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
