I am 5 days post sleeve and everything has been moving along well. Until yesterday that is. I had a full on breakdown. Uncontrollable crying, taking everything out on my hubs, who has only been 100% amazing.

Is this normal? Am I going crazy?

I've not had any issues with intake or keeping things down it's just every little thing makes me ball like a little baby.

Anyone else experience this?

normal. Many women experience weird hormone-related things the first few weeks or months after surgery (screwed up menstrual cycles and emotional weirdnesses). This is supposedly because estrogen is stored in fat cells, and during rapid weight loss, that estrogen is released. It'll eventually stabilize and you'll be fine..

Yep. Went through the same thing last week. It gets better, but man, it sucks in the middle of it. Communicate with your at home support. My husband had a hard time knowing how to respond. Plus, he was really overwhelmed already from the extra responsibility on his shoulders. We've since talked through it, and have come to a great understanding.

It so sucks!! Every little thing made me cry.

Same with my husband. We had a very long chat after I calmed down and we both understand that there is a huge learning curve going on.

So glad to know that this is "normal " and that it does get better!

All of your hormones that have been stored in your fat cells are coming out, add on the major surgery... Its normal. I have never cried so much in my life, and I used to never cry over ANYTHING! It's annoying.

I do take this supplement now and it helps me feel a little more balanced.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
