Good morning, has anyone switch to the once a day Multi Vitamins yet? I’m trying the fusion ones but they are so big and make me gag everyday. Any other options out there?

I use vitamin patches because the bariatric Vitamins are so rough on my stomach. Fingers crossed they’re working. I feel pretty good. I do take chewable Biotin and Calcium. My surgeon was perfectly fine with the Patches and even said they’re good early on because of sensitive tummies.

My Patches are from PatchAid. I get them sent to me monthly. I use the D3 + Calcium, mulitivitamin and Iron. I put my D3 and multivitamin on in the morning and take my extra calcium and Biotin chews with those and then I put my iron on before bed.

I had my surgery June 12th. I just started getting my energy back the last 2 weeks. I did have to increase my calories though. 500-600 calories wasn't doing it. I was trying to exercise but I was exhausted all the time. I Increased my cals to about 1000. It gives me enough energy to exercise but it has slowed the weight loss. But I'd rather lose slower and feel better.

I think I’m starting to get my energy back as well and I had surgery June 14th. I’ve been working out at least 3-4 days a week but it was exhausting me lol he last 2 weeks. I might need to up my calories as well. Things are getting alittle easier I must say. Trying new foods and really trying to watch the carbs but it’s hard to avoid there in everything lol. Today I made egg roll in a bowl with ground chicken and man was it good and feeling. I recommend it, it’s easy, tasty and makes u feel like you’re eating egg rolls or my favorite lumpia. Keep it up everyone.

I am still eating a few small meals per day as I think id be exhausted if I didn't. It seems to work for me. I am still exercising most days (swimming is my thing) and I feel that I need a sufficient calorific intake to support that - I do enjoy a work out!. I have felt a little more tired since surgery but I've made it work for me. I go to bed a little earlier and wake earlier - I am in the pool by 6:30am! I eat a little later for my last meal as I seem to sleep really deeply - I like the new routine as I wake up refreshed and go to bed pleasantly tired. I guess we are all still navigating our way through post surgery. I had my surgery on 1st June and am 41lbs down which I am ok with - I think perhaps id be too fatigued if I ate any less. We got this - we just have to continue to try hard to stay with it. Good luck beautiful people xx

I woke up this morning and got on the scale for my weekly weigh-in. I hit my first weight loss goal! Finally under 300lbs. 40lbs total since my preop diet started on June 12th. This is usually the point where my body starts fighting me and I struggle to lose more, but knowing that I have this tool now is so comforting. I’m under 300 and now I can actually STAY UNDER 300.

@sleevedinthe817 Congrats, I know the feeling I had my surgery a few days after you and I’m finally under 300. Idk the last time I weighted 300. Go us, no stopping now. We got this everyone.

Awww - its so lovely to hear your good news stories; I am so happy and excited for you both. I'm doing ok - still ploughing on. I have changed my job and am choosing to drive a lot less in place of walking. I find some days i want to eat a little more but am not craving sweet things - I just eat a little more of the good stuff. It feels necessary since i am using more energy by walking a lot more in addition to swimming each say. Does anyone else find there are some days when they want to eat a little more? Also, I would love to hear some more good news stories 😘x

I actually just had a day this past weekend where I ate quite a bit more. Not a lot at one meal, but some egg whites here and then a piece of cheese there and some almonds, etc. I ended up having a quick drop in weight the next day. I think my body was in need of the extra calories. Back to normal eating now though!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
