Help with body pain afterwards

Recommended Posts

I had my sleeve 8 days night I woke up screaming because of pain. Which is something I never have done. I have an extremely high tolerance for pain. But my whole body ,from shoulders to feet hurt when I moved. I called a 24 hour nursing service I used and they asked if I had ibuprofen. I said I couldn't take that but my Dr said I could take my meloxicam rarely as it's only the 7.5 tabs. She said take that with a cup of hot chamomile tea if you have that or other hot tea if not seep it for awhile. Then she started looking up info on the sleeve and said this is something that can happen for up to 2 years. The reason I'm posting this is not to scare you but to say the tea and melxicam worked. I still hurt abit after 4 hours but I can move. So if any of you have a problem with this try that remedy if you can.

How awful. Did you find out why this happened? What was the cause? My initial thought was muscle spasms in my back which I had when I was still in hospital (bought tears to my eyes). Surgeon said I was holding my body stiffly in response to pain & discomfort. For me it was swallowing - had a lot of swelling & could barely swallow a sip of Water the first 24/36 hours.

I haven't found the cause. I will ask my surgeon next week when I visit him and post here.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
