…also, in terms of immediate post op necessities while in hospital:

Crocs (or any other easily slipped on footwear for walking the halls)

Lip Balm

Moisturising Throat spray (i used Biotene, omg a lifesaver)

Small pillow to hug for the ride home (going over those road bumps hurt man)

I had actually brought a whole bunch of other stuff that never made it out of the overnight bag. If i wasn’t sleeping, i was walking the halls. Didn’t even use my phone NOR my toothbrush, lol.

Yeah the throat spray was key when i woke up from surgery as well as all the times i woke up from my gazillion naps.

Mr. sweet-talked a nurse to tuck the spray bottle in my gurney in the recovery room so it was there as soon as i woke up, thank goodness…my throat was dry like the desert and it hurt!

also really handy in the first couple weeks post cuz i could hardly drink any Water and hydrate my throat

here Is what i used:

Thanks everyone for your feedback! This is super helpful!

Anyone have suggestions for food tracking apps? I currently use MyFitnessPal but I use the free version and I’d love to be able to print my diary to share with my nutritionist

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
