Thought it would be nice to have a thread for everyone whose having surgery in April!

My sleeve is booked in for 12th April!..

Currently feeling really excited a tad nervous!

Look forward to getting to know everyone!

at 8:30 and so far So good! Pain is manageable and only slight nausea. Think they gave me a lot of meds and a nausea patch behind my ear that lasts 72 hours. Very sleepy and groggy but SO grateful to be on the other side of it. ????☺️

Be sure when you remove the patch behind your ear that you either wear gloves or wash hands immediately. Keep out of reach of children or pets.
So glad you are doing well! Keep walking and sipping! The patch will make your mouth feel dry. Just brush and sip.

Anyone in this April group have Fibromyalgia too? Wondering how your energy has been, mine has still been really low. (Surgery 4/14)

I am 5 days post op and doing great. I walk 4 to 5 times a day with increasing if tolerated. I’m so happy I made this choice

I had my surgery today. They had to fix a hernia. The gas pains are NO joke. I'm doing good so far.

Congratulations!! So true about the gas pains! Walk walk walk!!! That will help dissipate the gas.

I’m 16 hours post op and doing great. I’ve been sleeping a ton but I’ve managed to get in quite a few laps around the ward. I should go home later today.

That’s fantastic!! I had mine Monday morning and should go home this am. ?? Definitely some pain but overall feeling good. Enjoy your 1st day home!
