That is fantastic! I had my VSG Monday (4/25) also. I drank 64 oz of fluids np but have not tried protein yet. Tomorrow I start full liquids but my dr said not to worry about counting proteins yet. He said as long as I drink a lot and take the multi vitamins I should be fine. He said 20 oz of protein if I can stomach it, I am a Little worried about hair loss though. Crazy how each Docs recs are so different! How is your pain level? Mine is tolerable but tough to find a comfy position in bed. Wishing you and all a good recovery!

You will do great!! I just had mine this am at 8:30 and so far So good! Pain is manageable and only slight nausea. Think they gave me a lot of meds and a nausea patch behind my ear that lasts 72 hours. Very sleepy and groggy but SO grateful to be on the other side of it. ????☺️

Good luck to you both!!! I go in tomorrow for mine. You will be ok on the liquid diet. Just keep yourself busy and distracted so you dont have time to think about it! I am nervous about the liquid diet post op when I wont be able to ‘keep busy’. Hoping to be able to sleep tonight before the big day. We got this, girls!! ????

Thank you!! You all have answered so many of my questions already. Was wondering: what people bring to the hospital? Were u able to sleep post-op that first night while in hospital or should I have my husband stay with me? Have 3 teenage kids who could stay alone if needed. Thanks!!

I have been following this forum for months and just found out TODAY that I am having VSG this Monday April 25th in 4 days!! ????So many emotions and not much time to freak out about it. Think that was divine intervention. ?? So would love to join the April Buddies if ok??
